주간묵상 25-41
<천국크레인 기사>

추석명절 긴 황금연휴
인천공항에만도 수백만 명이 북적
능률을 위해서 휴식도 필요
그러나 현장을 지켜야할 분들도

조선소, 발전소, 현수교, 사장교 등
대형공장이나 대형공사장에는 
크롤러크레인 같은 중장비가 수두룩
대당 수백억 원을 호가하는 
수천 톤급 크레인들
대당 하루 임대료만도 수천만 원
이런 크레인이 고장이 나거나
기사가 없어서 방치된다면
며칠 새 수십억, 수백억 원이 손실.

천국건설 공사장에
주님의 일꾼들이
하루라도 쉬어
구원받아야 할 생명이
하나라도 낙오된다면
얼마나 손실이 클까?
돈으로 환산할 순 없지만
우주보다 더 큰 손실?

“너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 
그의 의를 구하라”(마 6:33)
“천국은 침노를 당하나니 
침노하는 자는 빼앗느니라”(마 11:12).
우리는 천국공사장의 일꾼들.
일명 천국크레인 기사.
기사 없는 기계는 고철
기계 없는 기사는 실업자

공사장 일꾼들이
하루 삽질을 쉬면 
몇 만 원 정도의 손실,
대형크레인이 하루를 쉬면 
수 억 원이 손실.
천국건설공사에
나의 사명은?
천국공사 요원들도
공휴일이 필요한가?
안식년이 필요한가?
하나님은 주무시지도 않으시며
일하시는데-(시 121:4)

2022년 포스고 포항제철소
태풍으로 용광로에 불이 꺼져서 
유관업체 등 연쇄적인 피해가
약 2조원 정도였다고
천국건설 공사장의 용광로에
성령의 불이 꺼지면
얼마의 피해가 발생할까?
나의 태만으로 한 생명이 실족한다면
그 생명은 우주보다 귀하기에
그 책임을 나에게 물으신다면
나는 어떤 대가를 치러야할까?

천국건설 기사는 십자가를 지고
골고다 언덕을 올라가는 것.
성령의 감동과
지식과, 지혜와, 재능과,
건강과, 재물과, 열정과,
윤리도덕적인 삶이 절대 필요.
그래서 천국크레인 기사는
학문과 기술을 연마하고
부지런히 일해야 하고
기도하고 찬송하고 감사하고
말씀을 읽고, 배우고, 묵상하고, 전하고, 
이웃과 화목하고, 봉사하고,
가진 것을 다 팔아서 나눠줘야 한다.

명절연휴에도 최소한의 요원은
공장이나 공사현장을 지켜야 한다.

Weekly Mediation 25-41
<The Heavenly Crane Operator>

During the long Chuseok holiday,
millions throng Incheon International Airport.
Rest is necessary for efficiency—
yet some must remain at their posts.

At shipyards, power plants,
suspension bridges, and cable-stayed bridges,
massive machinery stands guard—
giant crawler cranes worth tens of millions of dollars each,
with daily rental fees in the tens of thousands.
If such a crane breaks down
or lacks an operator,
the loss in mere days
can amount to tens or even hundreds of millions.

Now imagine the construction site of Heaven.
If the Lord’s workers rest even a day,
and a single soul that should be saved
is left behind—
how immense would that loss be?
It cannot be measured in money,
for it would outweigh the whole universe.

“Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.” (Matthew 6:33)
“The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”(Matthew 11:12)

We are laborers at the heavenly construction site—
operators of the Heavenly Crane.
A machine without an operator is mere scrap metal;
an operator without a machine is unemployed.

If a day’s rest for a manual worker
means a loss of a few dollars,
a day’s halt for a giant crane
costs millions.
What, then, of my mission
in the construction of Heaven?
Do heavenly workers
require holidays?
Do they need sabbatical years?
Our God neither slumbers nor sleeps,
but keeps working still.(Psalm 121:4)

In 2022, at POSCO’s Pohang Steelworks,
a typhoon extinguished the blast furnace,
and the chain reaction of damages
was said to reach two trillion won.
If the fire of the Holy Spirit
were to go out in the furnace
of Heaven’s construction site,
how great would the damage be?
If, through my negligence, one soul were to stumble—
and since that soul is worth more than the universe—
what price would I have to pay
when the Lord calls me to account?

A heavenly crane operator
carries the cross
up the hill of Golgotha.
He needs the inspiration of the Spirit,
knowledge, wisdom, skill,
health, wealth, zeal,
and a life of integrity and virtue.
Therefore, the Heavenly Crane Operator
must study and refine his craft,
work diligently,
pray, sing, and give thanks,
read, learn, meditate on, and share the Word,
live in peace with neighbors,
serve others,
and give generously,
selling even what he owns if need be.

Even during national holidays,
a minimal team remains
to guard the factory or construction site.
We, too, are the sentinels
of Heaven’s construction ground—
watchmen who never sleep.
