<P>Computer Games</P>
<P> Many people are crazy about computer games. I have to admit that I am not. When I was a little kid, I used to play <EM>Space Invaders</EM> at my local fish and chip shop while I waited for my order of fast food. There was this other video game too - a kind of tennis game. They were very elementary computer games by today's standards. The screen was always green. The tennis game had two white lines on each side of the screen. There was a kind of dot, a 'ball', which bounced from one side of the screen to the other. You simply had to move 'your' line up and down so that the ball bounced off it. Young people today would find it a bit of a yawn, I think. As for <EM>Space Invaders</EM>, these were space ships of some kind that moved from one side of the screen to the other, along the top of the screen. There was a kind of gun that was halfway along the bottom of the screen and you pushed the button on the machine, and the gun shot down the enemy ships.</P>

<P> I use computers a lot these days. I like to check email and surf the net. There are so many interesting things to do and look at on the computer as it is. I do not really need computer games to absorb my time. On the Internet I find that five minutes can easily become five hours, as it is now. I am afraid to get into computer games because I might just find them too interesting, and they will take up even more of my time.</P>
