Geography Field Trip to Gunung Pulai – 9th May 2025

Our Year 10 Geographers enjoyed an exciting and educational day out at Gunung Pulai on Friday, 9th May. The trip focused on investigating river discharge and profiling, giving students a valuable hands-on experience with key fieldwork techniques.

In teams, students measured river width with tape measures, gauged depth at intervals using meter rulers, and calculated water speed using floats and timers. Clear skies and the sparkle of sunlight on flowing water made for a perfect working environment!

After collecting data, we took a well-earned lunch break before hiking up to explore the stunning waterfalls nestled in the forest. With three spectacular cascades and lush greenery, it was a fitting reward for a morning of hard work.

The trip offered a memorable and practical boost to students' understanding of IGCSE Geography coursework—and a day they won’t soon forget!

구눙 푸라이로의 지리 현장 학습 – 2025년 5월 9일
5월 9일 금요일, 구눙 푸라이에서 열린 10학년 지리학자들은 흥미진진하고 교육적인 하루를 보냈습니다. 이번 여행은 하천 방류 조사와 프로파일링에 중점을 두어 학생들에게 주요 현장 실습 기법에 대한 귀중한 경험을 제공했습니다.
학생들은 팀을 이루어 줄자로 강 폭을 측정하고, 미터 자를 사용하여 간격을 두고 깊이를 측정했으며, 부유물과 타이머를 사용하여 물속을 계산했습니다. 맑은 하늘과 흐르는 물 위의 반짝이는 햇빛이 완벽한 작업 환경을 만들어주었습니다!
데이터를 수집한 후, 우리는 숲에 자리 잡은 멋진 폭포를 탐험하기 위해 하이킹을 떠나기 전에 점심시간을 잘 가졌습니다. 세 개의 장관을 이루는 폭포와 무성한 녹지가 어우러진 이 폭포는 하루 아침의 노력에 대한 적절한 보상이었습니다.
그 여행은 학생들이 IGCSE 지리 과목에 대한 이해를 높이는 데 기억에 남고 실질적인 도움을 주었습니다. 그리고 학생들은 곧 잊지 못할 날을 맞이했습니다!
