Last week, our classrooms were filled with stories and a wonderful sense of togetherness as part of our Read Aloud initiative at Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens.

To strengthen our daily Read Aloud practice, we welcomed members of our wider school community into lessons for a shared reading experience. Our students listened to stories read not only by their teachers, but also by parents, secondary teachers, our administrative team and support staff – creating a truly meaningful moment of connection across our campus.

While our students already enjoyed 15 minutes of daily read-aloud time during English Power Hour, having special guest readers added an extra layer of authenticity and inspiration to their learning.

This initiative was rooted in our belief that learning thrives when schools and families work in partnership. By inviting parents into the classroom, we enriched our literacy experiences and strengthened the community that supports every child to grow curious and confident.

우리 학생들은 이미 영어 파워 아워 시간 동안 매일 15분씩 독서 시간을 즐겼지만, 특별 게스트 독자들이 그들의 학습에 진정성과 영감을 더해주었습니다.
이 이니셔티브는 학교와 가정이 협력할 때 학습이 번창한다는 믿음에 뿌리를 두고 있습니다. 학부모를 교실로 초대함으로써 문해력 경험을 풍부하게 하고 모든 어린이가 호기심과 자신감을 키울 수 있도록 지원하는 커뮤니티를 강화했습니다.
