믿음은 하나님의 선물임

성경말씀

(엡2:8~9) 여러분은 그 은혜로 말미암아 믿음을 통하여 구원을 받았습니다. 이것은 여러분에게 서 난 것이 아니요, 하나님의 선물입니다. 행위에서 난 것도 아니니, 이것은 아무도 자랑하지 못하도록 하려는 것입니다.

오늘의 만나

믿음은 우리에게서 난 것이 아닙니다. 우리가 믿는다 할지라도, 우리가 믿는 믿음은 우리로부터 나온 것이 아닙니다. 우리 자신 안에는 믿음이 없습니다. 그러나 우리가 주 예수님의 이름 안에서 하나님께 회개하고 자백했을 때, 믿는 능력이 우리 안에 넣어졌습니다. 우리가 구원받기 전에 우리는 전혀 믿을 수 없었습니다. 어떤 이들은 우리가 본 적이 없는데 어떻게 예수 그리스도를 믿을 수 있느냐고 물을 것입니다. 우리가 그분을 본 적은 없지만, 우리는 그분을 믿지 않을 수 없습니다. 믿음은 우리에게서 난 것이 아니라 우리 안에 전달된 은혜의 일부입니다. 믿음은 사실상 그리스도의 한 방면입니다. 이것이 성경에서 그리스도의 믿음(롬3:22)에 대해서 말하고 있는 이유입니다. 유일한 믿음은 그리스도 그분 자신이므로, 그리스도를 믿는 우리는 같은 믿음을 가지고 있습니다. 여러분은 한 종류의 믿음을 가지고 있고, 나는 다른 종류의 믿음을 가지고 있는 것이 아닙니다. 그리스도가 여러분에게 왔을 때 여러분은 믿었고,그리스도가 내게 왔을 때 나도 믿었습니다. 그리스도가 어떤 사람에게 왔을 때 언제든지, 그 사람은 그분을 믿습니다. 이것은 더욱 믿음이 우리에게서 나온 것이 아니라, 그리스도에게서 나온 것임을 가리키는 것입니다. 믿음이 우리의 행위에서 난 것이 아니라 하나님의 선물이므로, 우리 중 누구도 자랑할 권리가 없습니다. 반대로 우리 모두는 겸손하게 말해야 합니다. Faith Being a Gift of God

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; (9) Not of works that no one should boast.

Faith is not of ourselves. Although we believe, the faith with which we believe doesnot originate with us. In ourselves, we do not have any faith. However, at the timewe repented and made confession to God in the name of the Lord Jesus, thebelieving ability was put into us. Before we were saved, we were utterly unable tobelieve... Others may ask how we can believe in Jesus Christ when we have neverseen Him. Although we have not seen Him, we cannot help believing in Him. Thisfaith is not of ourselves; it is part of the grace transmitted into us. Faith actuallyis an aspect of Christ. This is the reason the Bible speaks of the faith of Christ(Rom 3:22)... Because the unique faith is Christ Himself, we who believe in Himhave a common faith. You do not have one kind of faith and I, another kind.When Christ came to you, you believed; and when He came to me, I believed.Whenever Christ comes to a person, that person believes in Him. This is a furtherindication that faith comes not out of us, but out of Christ. Because faith is a giftof God and is not of our works, none of us has the right to boast. On thecontrary, we all must humbly say, “Lord, if you had not come to me, I would nothave any faith. But praise You that You have come, and I have received faith!Lord, You are my faith."
