FIDE TRAINER TITLE EVAL‎UATION SYSTEM – EFFECTIVE FROM 1 APRIL 2022

FIDE 트레이너 타이틀 평가 시스템 - 2022년 4월 1일부터 시행됨

INTRODUCTION

TRG recommends titles for approval by the FIDE Council based on the following:

1. Award of FT, FI, NI & DI titles from official TRG seminars and courses. This must be conducted by official or specially approved TRG lecturers with an independent examiner.

2. Award of FST title through application, nomination or by invitation. This requires a two thirds majority vote of the TRG Council.

3. Upgrade of Title with credit earned from services and participation in official TRG seminars and workshops. This can also be conducted by FSTs and subject specialists.

PRINCIPLES OF EVAL‎UATION

Our overriding guide to award of any trainer title is given in the regulations as follows:

1. Developmental Instructor (DI)

This license is given to trainers who bring the love of the game to children and adults starting out in chess and have the ability to teach the first steps in chess and then bring him or her to the level of participation in a FIDE rated tournament. Typically, teaching players rated up to 1200.

2. National Instructor (NI)

This license is given to trainers who can grow his or her talent to be able to successfully participate in national and international cadet and regional youth championships. Typically, teaching players rated from 1201 to 1700.

3. FIDE Instructor (FI)

This license is given to trainers who have the ability and knowledge to improve a student’s foundation and successfully compete in national, regional and international cadet and youth championships. Typically, training players rated from 1701 to 2200.

4. FIDE Trainer (FT)

This license is given to trainers who played at a professional level and who also have the ability, knowledge and skills to help a student at international competitions in pursuit of title norms, and championships. Typically, training players over 2200.

5. FIDE Senior Trainer (FST)

The FIDE Senior Trainer Title is a title given for distinct service to chess over a long period of time, and will include all the men and women World Champions.

The first task of the examiner is then to determine the main level of training given by the trainer being eval‎uated. There will be cases where the capability is higher, but he or she must first be assessed at their usual level of teaching, and the regulations clearly indicate the strength of students. So, if a GM works with mainly 1701-2200, he or she is an FI, and if a player 1800 claims to train players above 2200, then he or she needs to show the students, what they have contributed, and their results.

3. FIDE 강사(FI)

이 자격증은 학생의 기초를 향상시키고 국내, 지역 및 국제 카뎃 및 청소년 선수권 대회에서 성공적으로 경쟁할 수 있는 능력과 지식을 갖춘 트레이너에게 주어집니다. 일반적으로 1701~2200 등급의 선수를 지도합니다.

4. FIDE 트레이너(FT)

이 라이선스는 프로 레벨에서 선수로 활동했으며 국제 대회에서 타이틀 규범과 챔피언십을 추구하는 학생을 도울 수 있는 능력, 지식, 기술을 갖춘 트레이너에게 주어집니다. 일반적으로 2200 이상의 선수를 지도합니다.

5. FIDE 시니어 트레이너(FST)

FIDE 시니어 트레이너 타이틀은 오랜 기간 동안 체스에 대한 뚜렷한 공로를 인정받아 주어지는 타이틀이며, 남녀 세계 챔피언이 모두 포함됩니다.

심사관의 첫 번째 임무는 평가 대상 트레이너가 제공한 주요 훈련 수준을 결정하는 것입니다. 능력이 더 높은 경우도 있겠지만, 먼저 평상시 지도 수준에서 평가해야 하며, 규정에는 학생의 강도가 명확하게 명시되어 있습니다. 따라서 1701~2200레벨을 주로 지도하는 GM은 FI에 해당하며, 1800레벨의 선수가 2200레벨 이상의 선수를 지도한다고 주장한다면, 해당 선수의 학생과 기여한 내용, 결과를 보여줘야 합니다.

As also given in the regulations, we have five eval‎uation criteria as follows:

1. FIDE Rating or Equivalent (10-200)

Given for the highest classical rating in the last 20 years. If only having a FIDE Rapid Rating, then half the points is awarded. Other ratings do not apply but in very special cases a discretionary score (given on the low side) may be awarded that is considered to reflect a playing strength unattained due to extraordinary circumstances.

2. Overall Students Results (300)

There are two parts and the first is referenced to the “principles of eval‎uation” so first is to determine the usual level of teaching, with higher scores given to numbers of students, and other factors such as the impact on the community.

Ultimately a trainer is judged by his or her success with students – their results - it is therefore very important to see if the trainer is able to consistently get the claimed results, and to determine the actual contribution made i.e. the role, stage of involvement, length of time, and what was the training given. Note that mere participation is not always deserving of points but high finishes, title norms and significant rating increases are. Also results on rapid, blitz and online competitions carry very little weight unless part of an overall pattern.

3. Experience / Special Achievements (100)

While we credit experience and therefore years given in a profession, there is very little difference between ten years teaching beginners in school and doing it for twenty years. We are therefore also looking at awards or other forms of recognition of the work.

4. Trainer & Professional Related Skills (100)

This are awarded to skills applicable to work as a trainer and may be awarded as either for one category alone or as a combination.

5. The Written Exam (200)

The examiner of the written exam is a person appointed by the exam panel. The participants and lecturers of a seminar shall not normally know the name of the examiner.

The written exam will have a minimum of five open questions based on topics taught as follows and from time to time may be adjusted to the specific characteristics and teaching of a specific seminar lecturer

The scores in the exam always confirm‎s the level of the trainer and the title to be awarded and is usually the basis for any change in title award.

궁극적으로 트레이너는 학생들과의 성공, 즉 결과로 평가되므로 트레이너가 주장한 결과를 일관되게 얻을 수 있는지 확인하고 실제 기여도, 즉 역할, 참여 단계, 기간, 제공된 교육 내용을 파악하는 것이 매우 중요합니다. 단순히 참여만 했다고 해서 항상 점수를 받을 수 있는 것은 아니며, 높은 완주율, 타이틀 규범 및 상당한 등급 상승은 점수를 받을 수 있습니다. 또한 신속, 블리츠 및 온라인 대회의 결과는 전체 패턴의 일부가 아닌 한 매우 적은 비중을 차지합니다.

우리는 경력과 직업에서 주어진 연수를 인정하지만, 학교에서 초보자를 10년 동안 가르치는 것과 20년 동안 가르치는 것에는 거의 차이가 없습니다. 따라서 수상 경력이나 다른 형태의 인정도 고려합니다.

트레이너로서 업무에 적용할 수 있는 스킬에 수여되며, 한 가지 카테고리 단독 또는 복합적으로 수여할 수 있습니다.

5. 필기 시험 (200)

필기 시험의 시험관은 시험 위원회가 지정한 사람입니다. 세미나의 참가자 및 강사는 일반적으로 시험관의 이름을 알 수 없습니다.

필기시험은 다음과 같은 주제를 바탕으로 최소 5개의 공개문항으로 구성되며, 특정 세미나 강사의 특정 특성 및 강의에 따라 수시로 조정될 수 있습니다.

FIDE SENIOR TRAINER TITLE

This is through application, nomination or by invitation and will require to have at least ten years’ experience working at high level, to see either exceptional results as a trainer or recognise a significant contribution to the trainer community.

We will no longer award a lower title for an unsuccessful applicant.

TITLE UPGRADE

We again refer to the regulations as follows:

“Trainers are encouraged to keep their skills relevant through participation in Professional Education & Development Workshops to be organised quarterly where credits will be awarded towards future licences and/or future title upgrades.”

The workshops will build on individual topics taught at the seminar curriculum and be a minimum of six hours. For example, a recent workshop was on “How to Teach Pawn Endings” and which built upon the seminar topic “7 Basic Endgame Principles, Training”

TRG will award 50 points for every seminar and 20 points for every workshop participation – these are valid for four years - and credit the same as bonus points toward the exam in a seminar.

진정한 수석 트레이너 타이틀

신청, 지명 또는 초대를 통해 획득할 수 있으며, 트레이너로서 탁월한 성과를 거두거나 트레이너 커뮤니티에 크게 기여한 공로를 인정받아 10년 이상의 고위급 경력을 보유해야 합니다.

불합격한 지원자에게는 더 이상 낮은 직급을 부여하지 않습니다.

타이틀 업그레이드

다음과 같은 규정을 다시 한 번 참고하시기 바랍니다:

"트레이너는 분기별로 개최되는 전문 교육 및 개발 워크샵에 참여하여 향후 라이선스 및/또는 향후 타이틀 업그레이드에 대한 크레딧을 획득함으로써 관련 기술을 유지할 것을 권장합니다."

워크숍은 세미나 커리큘럼에서 배운 개별 주제를 기반으로 하며 최소 6시간 동안 진행됩니다. 예를 들어, 최근 워크숍은 "폰 엔딩을 가르치는 방법"에 관한 것으로, 세미나 주제인 "7가지 기본 엔드게임 원칙, 교육"을 기반으로 진행되었습니다.

TRG는 모든 세미나에 50점, 모든 워크숍 참가에 20점을 부여하며, 이는 4년간 유효하며 세미나에서 시험에 대한 보너스 점수와 동일하게 인정됩니다.
