USCIS recently announced that, on April 21, 2016, it began allowing petitioners who filed Form I-129 to request an extension of status or change of employer to submit an inquiry after their petition has been pending for 210 days or more. (AILA Doc No. 16051002)
Soon after the announcement, however, AILA received reports that NCSC officers were unable to make a service request when a case had been pending for 210 days. AILA sent these case examples to USCIS to alert them of the problem.
USCIS recently informed us that it made the required system fixes to allow NCSC officers to submit a service request at 210 days. The fix was made late last week, so members who were unable to submit a service request previously, should try calling NCSC or filing an e-Request again.
