Themes : Colors / Body Parts [Front Cover] (Practise saying 'GO AWAY' with children) Go away! [Go away!] A big green monster! Have you ever seen a monster? [Yes, I have / No, I haven't] What did your monster look like? (Get children to describe the monster.) What color was he? [He was ....black, red, blue] Where did he live? [He lived ..... under my bed, in the garden, in the cupboard] Are you scared of monsters? [Yes, I am. / No, I'm not.] What are you afraid of? [Nothing. / I'm afraid of snakes/spiders/ghosts... - get children to think of scary things] [Page 1-2] Point to your eyes! What color eyes do you have? [I have black/brown/blue/green eyes] Mr. Monster is looking at you!! Where is he hiding? [In the dark / closet] You can only see his eyes. How many eyes does the Big Green Monster have? [Two.] How many do you have? [Two!!] The same!! [Page 3-4] Loooong bluish-greenish nose. Is your nose bluish-greenish? [No.] No? What color is it? [pink/yellow/peach/brown/white] Where is your nose? [Here it is!] Is it long like Mr. Monster's nose? [No! / Yes, a little bit.] 1 nose and 2? [Eyes.] What does your nose do? [Smell. - It smells things.] Yes, that's right. It smells things. (Sniff!!) And it breathes. What do your eyes do? [See. - They see things.] Excellent! They do see things. Let's see what your eyes see next! [Page 5-6] Aaaw!! Watch out!! Mr. Monster will EAT you!! He has a big red mouth. Maybe he can eat little children delicious!! How many big sharp white teeth does he have? [4] How many teeth do you have? (Get children to count with their fingers.) Are your teeth sharp too? [No!!] What do you use your mouth for? [To eat, drink, taste, sing, talk, laugh, tell stories] What about your teeth? [To chew food.] So 2 yellow (eyes), 1 bluish-greenish (nose), 1 big red (mouth), and 4 sharp white (teeth). What else does he have? [Page 7-8] Squiggly Ears. Wiggly Squiggly Ears!! Can you wiggle your ears? [Yes, I can. / No, I can't.] How many ears do you have? [Two.] Where? Point to your ears. (Children point to their ears.) Why do you have ears? [To hear with.] Who else has ears? What animals have ears? [dogs, cats, .... - get children to think] Mr. Monster has two little squiggly green ears. Do you think he can hear us? [No. / Yes.] What next? (Children may have some ideas) (Point to your eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, and then ears.) What next? (Shrug shoulders like you don't know.) [Page 9-10] Scraggly Hair. Mr. Monster has messy scraggly hair. And purple hair!! Do you have purple hair/ [No!!] Does your Mummy or Daddy have hair? [No! / Yes.] What color is your hair? [Brown, Red, Black, Blonde] Mr. Monster only has a few hairs . How many can you see? Let's count! 1,2,3,4,5,6 - 6 scraggly purple hairs. Is he a scary monster? [Yes. / No.] Two big yellow (eyes), one bluish-greenish (nose), one big red (mouth), four sharp white (teeth), two little squiggly (ears) and scraggly purple (hair!!) Wow! Excellent And..... [page 11-12] Roar!! I'm a big scary monster with a big scary green face!! Roar!! O-Oh- Do you think he is scary now?(Yes/No) Maybe he will try to eat you. Can I catch you? And feed you to the monster? (Reach out and try to catch children) He looks very very hungry. Do you think he likes to eat little children?(No/Yes) Yummy Yummy! But....... [page 13-14] Oh! So brave! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! Shall we chase him away? Let's shout and chase him away. GOODBYE, Monster! (Goodbye, Monster!) Now together let's shout 'GO AWAY'. Can you do it? (Yes.) 1,2,3 ... (GO AWAY!) Now I think he knows we're not afraid. So, go away scraggly purple hair! [Page 15-16] Go away two little squiggly (ears). That's it. Good! No more hair. No more ears. What next? (Nose? / Mouth? / Teeth?) Let's see!! [Page 17-18] Nose!! Go Away Nose!! (Everyone together - GO AWAY!!) We aren't afraid of you. We aren't afraid of the big green monster. [Page 19-20] Wow - No Hair, No Ears, No Nose!! What does the big green monster look like now? (An apple, plum, pear, worm - get children to think) Is he scary now? (No!!) But he still has a green face, 2 yellow (eyes), a big red (mouth) and 4 sharp (teeth). What will disappear next? Shall we look? It's face!! Oh, Dear!! [Page 21-22] No Face!! Just eyes and a mouth with big sharp teeth. Well. We don't care!! It's not scary any more!! So - GO AWAY BIG RED MOUTH!! (YAY!!) [Page 23-24] Not much left now. No more (ears!) - (Point to ears.) No more (hair.) - (Point to hair.) No more ... (nose.) - (Point to nose.) No more ... (face.) - (Point to face.) No more ... (mouth.) - (Point to mouth.) And now - GO AWAY TEETH! Mr.Monster will soon disappear!! Then he can't eat us any more!! And so ... [Page 25-26] His teeth are GONE!! Only his two BIG yellow eyes!! Watching. Watching. Watching! Not for long!! [Page 27-28] Nearly gone!! [Page 29-30] Gone!! No More Monster!! He has gone away. Shake finger - and Don't Come Back!! Wow we got rid of the monster. And he can't come back until we tell him, too!! Good bye Mr.Monster. Can you remember what he looked like? [After Reading] How many eyes did he have? (2) Teeth? (4) Ooh! Very Good! What color was his hair? (Purple.) And his ears? (Green.) Well done! Are you scared of monsters now? (No!!) Excellent! |
첫댓글 이거..이렇게 다 올려도 괜찮은건지..그냥 제가 좋아하는 책내용이 있길래.^^옆에링크는 잘못된건데 수정을 잘 할줄몰라서..ㅠㅠ
잘 봤습니당...근데 늘 느끼는 거지만 스토리가 아이들에게 참 좋은것두 알고는 있지만 스토리로 섭을 하는것이 힘들다는 생각이 드네요...
36개월된 첫째딸이나 12개월 된 둘째딸 모두 이 책 무지하게 좋아해요... 거의 매일 이 책을 서로 차지하고 볼려고 싸우지요... 첫째딸은 이 책에 나오는 말도 가끔 생활에서 쓰기도 하고요.. 선생님들께서도 활용해보시면 아이들이 엄청 좋아할거예요. 참고로 어른인 저도 무지하게 좋아합니다.
