화성에서 온 영들의 겸허함

한번은 주님의 이름을 듣자 이 영들은 형언할 수 없을 정도로 깊게, 가장 내적인 차원에서 스스로를 낮췄다. 그들은 그러한 겸허의 상태에서, 자기들은 본질적으로 지옥에 있으며 따라서 감히 거룩함 자체이신 주님을 바라볼 자격도 없다고 생각하는 것이었다. (...) 그들은 주님이 그들을 일으키실 때까지, 그래서 마치 지옥에서 꺼내주시는 듯 여겨질 때까지 계속 무릎을 꿇고 있었다. 그토록 겸허한 상태에서 일으켜지면 그들은 선함과 사랑으로 충만해지고, 그 결과 가슴 깊이 느껴지는 기쁨으로 가득찼다.  그러나 겸허의 상태에서는 감히 얼굴을 주님께 향하려 하지 않고 고개를 돌렸다. 내 주위에 있던 영들은 이같은 겸허함은 이전에 결코 본 적이 없다고 말했다. -천비 7478 7478. Once when the Lord was mentioned, I saw that those spirits humbled themselves so inmostly and profoundly that it cannot be described, for in their humiliation they had the thought that of themselves they are in hell, and that thus they are altogether unworthy to look to the Lord, who is the Holy itself. They were so profoundly in this thought from faith that they were as it were out of themselves, and in it they remained on their knees until the Lord lifted them up, and then as it were drew them out from hell. When they thus emerge from humiliation, they are full of good and of love, and hence of joy of heart. When they so humble themselves they do not turn the face to the Lord, for this they dare not then do, but turn it away.
