제1장.上經(상경) 21訓(훈) 157事(사) Chapter 1. Upper Classic : 21 Teachings, 157 Deeds. 제2 강령 信(신).....믿음.....第55事 The 2nd Principles : Trust(Shin)... Faith... The 55th Deed. 제1단 義(의)......마땅히 해야 할 일을 실행함......第56事 The 1st Stage : Righteousness(Ui)... Executing what must rightfully be done... the  56th Deed. 제8부 不尤(불우)......남의 탓으로 여기지 않음......第64事   Part 8 ; Non - Resentment(不尤,불우)... Not blaming others... 64th Deed. 不尤(불우)는 남을 원망하지 않는 것이다. Non - resentment(不尤,불우) means not harboring grudgen or blaming others. 의로운 사람은 스스로의 중심의 올바름을 취하여 마음에 결정하고 경영하는 바를 성취한다. A righteous person embraces the uprightness within their own center, makes a firm decision in their heart, and accomplishes what they set out to manage. 경영하는 바가 길흉과 성패가 남에게 관련된 것이 아니어서 비록 경영하는 바가 흉하게 되었다 해도 남에게 원망을 갖지 않고 비록 경영하는 바가 실패하였다 해도 남을 원망하지 않는다. Since the fortune, misfortune, success, or failure of their endeavors does not depend on dtyers, they do not hold a grudge against anyone even if their endevors take a turn for the worse, and they do not blame others even if what they managed ends in failure.  [Orlglnal Text,원문] 不尤者는 不尤人也라 (불우자는 불우인야라)  One who does not resent is one who does not blame other people. 義者는 自執中正하여 (의자는 자집중정하여)  A righteous person firmly holds onto centrality and correctness within themselves. 決心就事에 伊吉伊凶과 (결심취사에 이길이흉과)  And when they make up their mind to pursue a task, whether it brings good fortune or misfortune, 乃成乃敗를 不關於人也니 (내성내패를 불관어인야니) And whether it results in success or failure, has nothing to do with others. 雖凶이나 不怨人하며 雖敗나 不尤人이라. (수흉이나 불원인하며 수패나 불우인이라.) Therefore, even in the face of misfortune, they do not resent others,  and even in the face of failure, they do not blame others.   [Key Vocabulary]    ● 不尤(불우 / Non - resentment) :남을 원망하거나 탓하지 않음.    ● 中正(중정 / Centrality and correctness) : 치우침 없이 올바름.     ● 吉凶(길흉 / Fortune and misfortune) : 좋은일과 나쁜일.    ● 成敗(성패 / Success and failure) : 성공과 실패.
