Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion (BACI)
BACI is non profit organization that provides supports to people of all ages with developmental disabilities.
It is a place where children and adults of all abilities are supported to reach for their dreams and make decisions about their lives – where they want to live, work, learn and grow. Currently, BACI has two Children’s Centres that support toddlers and children of all abilities, from ages 0-5 years of age.
We are currently looking for new faces to join the BACI family. Our ideal candidate loves to work with children; is energetic and enthusiastic, enjoys creating varied lesson plans, is patient and provides support in an inclusive environment. We are hiring staff for casual on-call positions as well as regular full time positions.
Title : Early Childhood Educator
Location: Variety Children’s Centre – 7200 CARIBOO ROAD burnaby
Compensation: $16.32 hourly as per collective agreement
Start Date: ASAP
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - 37.5- 40 hours weekly (Full time)
Desired Qualifications:
* Early Childhood Certificate & Infant Toddler Certificate required
* Special Needs Certificate preferred
* First Aid CPR Level C
* TB Test Clearance within last 6 months
* Tetanus/Diphtheria Immunizations up to date
* Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (BACI specific)
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Enjoys and works well in an exceptional team
* Using your creativity to develop new and innovative activities for children
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking
