말레이시아 수도인 쿠알라룸푸르에 사는 교민들이 가장 선호하는 여행지가 포트딕슨이다. 그 이유는 바다와 비치가 있고 리조트 시설이 좋기때문이다. 아빌리언 포트딕슨은 워터샬레든 가든 샬레든간에 어른2명 어린이2명이 잘 수가 있고 주변환경이 가족이 쉬고 즐기기가 좋고 어린이를 위한 수영장 시설이 잘되어 있다. 이곳에서 주말을 이용하여 쉬고 쿠알라룸푸르 돌아오기전에 마라카라는 역사도시를 보고 오기에도 적당한 위치에 있다. 쿠알라룸푸르에서 포트딕슨 1시간 10분정도 , 포트딕슨에서 말라카 1시간정도의 거리이고 말라카를 보고 돌아오는 길이 약 1시간 30분이면 되기 때문에 운전하기에 부담이 없고 편안하게 다녀올 수 있기 때문이다.
