Book: The Story of a Seagull and the Cat who taught her to fly
Participants: Jodi, Julie, Aoi, Kate, Sylvi, Kate, Anne, Soberas
1 General Impression about the Story
-What are your overall thoughts on the story?
-Which parts of the story impressed you the most?
-Did you learn any new words or expressions while reading this book?
2. Pollution
There are some briefly comments on the wrongdoings of humans that have damaged the Earth.
Is there any specific environmental issue that you are particularly sensitive to or concerned about?
3. Animal Rights
People often experiment on animals for their own benefits. What are your thoughts
on this? Keeping pets or any other issues related to animals that you want to talk about
4. Cat: Promise
-If you were Zorba, would you have kept the promise to the mother seagull?
-Have you ever had a similar experience where you had to keep a difficult promise?
5. Seagull: Challenges
-Have you ever found yourself in the wrong group in any moments? What happened? How did you handle that?
-Do you ever feel like you are a "seagull, not a cat" in your current situation?
-Have you faced challenges that seemed easy at first but turned out to be quite difficult to overcome?
(Like how the cats assumed Lucky could fly easily just because she was a seagull.)
-Were you able to overcome the challenge alone, or did you have someone to support and help you?
It’s a bit easy to hang out with like-minded people, and sometimes it's surprising to find someone you click with right from the start. However, encountering total stragers or people who are different from us can lead to even more amazing experiences.
That's what I want to talk about but discussions on pollutions and animal rights are much more appreciated.
Thanks for all your participation after the long holidays.
