The LSAT and GPA are weighed evenly; therefore, applications will be more competitive with a high LSAT and GPA score. Examples of applicants accepted into the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Law include:

• LSAT = 99th percentile, GPA = 68%
• LSAT = 165, GPA = 78%
• LSAT = 155, GPA = 86%
• LSAT = 164, GPA = 82%

Applicants with high GPA scores and low LSAT scores or high LSAT scores and low GPA scores are still competitive applicants. However, having strong scores for both the GPA and LSAT will ensure an applicant’s acceptance into law school.

Regular Application and Admissions Criteria

The admission committee assesses applicants based on the combination of LSAT score and Grade Point Average (GPA). Applicants applying to Ontario law schools must submit their applications to the OLSAS. LSATs written before June 2008 are not accepted.

A minimum of three full years of academic study towards a degree from a recognized university or equivalent All courses must be completed no later than the end of May in the year of entry Application deadline – November 1 Highest LSAT score used

Supporting documents – official academic transcripts and personal statement OLSAS application service fee – $195 University of Toronto application fee – $90 February LSAT scores will be the last accepted for September admission Other admission categories: mature applicants, Aboriginal applicants, and half-time applicants

The University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy have collaborated to offer the first joint American/Canadian law degree program. Students complete 104 credits in three years and successful graduates receive both their Canadian & American Dual J.D. Program. LSATs written before June 2005 are not accepted.
