주간묵상 26-27

<천국무선통신>

통신이란 멀리 있는 사람과

음성, 문자, 영상 등의 정보를

상호 이해하고 교환하는 것

통신은 봉화나 연기로,

대면하여 대화 또는 문자로,

우편(편지)과 전신(전보)전화로,

방송과 인터넷과 스마트폰으로,

상상을 초월한 발전.

지금은 AI를 활용한

무한한 데이터를

초고속으로 전달하는

우주무선통신시대.

안방에서도 지구 반대편 딸과

마주보며 포옹하며 대화.

앞으로 얼마나 더 발전할까?

나는 60년대, 속칭 진공관시대,

지금은 다른 직종으로 변했지만

당시엔 선망의 대상인

1급무선통신사자격 취득.

아마추어무선통신사 자격도-

국가고시응시자 16명 중 2명 합격.

모스부호 이용 국제통신 가능.

선박, 항공기, 방송국 등

첨단 전자통신시설에 종사자격.

당시 급여가 제일 높은 한전에 근무.

1급무선통신사는

모스부호에 의하여 영어로

국제통화가 가능해야한다.

그래서 8개 시험과목 중

영어(독해, 영작)과목이

꽤 어려운 시험이었다.

모스부호는 세계 공통언어

국가, 종족, 언어가 달라도

모스부호로 완벽한 통신 가능.

얼마 후 한전을 사직하고

하늘의 소식을 전하는

천국무선통신사가 되고 싶어

신학교에 입학, 목사, 선교사로-

모스부호는 암호로 구성

한 점과 한 획만 달라도

전혀 다른 뜻이 된다.

성경도 마찬가지다.

성경은 하나님께서 교회에 보내신

가장 깊은 영적 무선통신문이다.

그러므로 모스부호를 알아야 하듯

계시적 언어를 정확히 알아야

그 뜻을 바르게 읽을 수 있다.

절대로 어렴풋이 알아서는 안 된다.

요한계시록은 더더욱 그러하다.

봉화나 연기에도 계시가 있다.

계시를 모르면

산불이나 화재로 오해.

성경 전체엔 십자가의 계시가 있다.

이 계시를 어렴풋이 알면

요한계시록은 공포의 책,

확실히 알면 기쁨과 소망이 충만.

열쇠는 톱니 하나만 달라도

문이 열리지 않는다.

성경은 하늘 문을 여는 열쇠.

“하나님의 말씀은 살았고 운동력이 있어

좌우에 날선 어떤 검보다도 예리하여

혼과 영과 및 관절과 골수를 찔러

쪼개기까지 하며”(히 4:12)

"그 안에는 지혜와 지식의 모든 보화가

감추어져 있느니라" (골 2:3)

<Heaven’s Wireless Message>

Communication is the exchange of

voices, words, images,

and every kind of information

between people separated by distance,

so that they may understand one another.

Communication has evolved

from beacon fires and smoke signals,

to face-to-face conversation

and handwritten messages,

to letters, telegraphs, telephones,

broadcasting, the Internet,

and smartphones—

progress beyond imagination.

Today we live

in the age of wireless communication,

where artificial intelligence

transmits limitless amounts of data

at breathtaking speed, even through space.

From the comfort of our living rooms,

we can see, speak with,

and even feel as though we embrace

our daughter on the opposite side of the world.

How much further

will communication advance?

Back in the 1960s,

during what many called

the era of vacuum tubes,

I earned a First-Class Radio Operator License—

a profession that has since disappeared,

but in those days was highly respected.

I also obtained

an Amateur Radio Operator License.

Among sixteen candidates

who took the national examination,

only two passed.

Using Morse code, I was qualified

to communicate internationally.

The license opened the door

to work in advanced communication systems for ships, aircraft,

and broadcasting stations.

At that time,

I worked for the Korea Electric Power Corporation, which offered

one of the nation's highest salaries.

A First-Class Radio Operator

had to communicate internationally

in English through Morse code.

That is why English comprehension

and composition were among

the most difficult subjects

of the eight examination courses.

Morse code is a universal language.

No matter the nation, race, or spoken language,

people could communicate perfectly

through Morse code.

Not long afterward, I resigned from my position. Instead, I longed to become

a wireless communicator

who would deliver the news of Heaven.

So I entered seminary, and by God's grace

became a pastor and missionary.

Morse code is made of symbols.

Change only one dot or one dash,

and the meaning becomes entirely different.

The same is true of the Scriptures.

The Bible is God's deepest

spiritual wireless message to His Church.

Just as one must understand

Morse code correctly to read its message,

so we must understand

the language of divine revelation

accurately to grasp God's Word.

A vague understanding is never enough.

This is especially true

of the Book of Revelation.

Even beacon fires and smoke signals

carry a message.

Without knowing their meaning,

one may mistake them

for nothing more than a forest fire.

The whole Bible contains

the revelation of the Cross.

If that revelation is only dimly understood,

the Book of Revelation

becomes a frightening book.

But when it is understood clearly,

it overflows with joy, hope, and victory.

A key will not open a door

if even one tooth is different.

The Scriptures are the key

that opens the gate of Heaven.

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."(Hebrews 4:12)

"...in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."(Colossians 2:3)
