People were overwhelmed｜with amazement. "He has done everything well,"｜they said.｜"He even makes the deaf hear｜and the mute speak."

【Translation 1】사람들은 압도되었다[휩싸였다] / 놀라움으로 / "그분[예수님께서]은 모든 것을 잘 하셨다." / "사람들은 말 하였다. “그분[예수님께서]은 심지어는 귀머거리를 듣게 하시고 / 또한 벙어리도 말하게 하신다."하고

【Translation 2】사람들은 놀라움에 휩싸였다. 사람들은 "그분[예수님께서]은 모든 것을 잘 하셨다. 그분[예수님께서]은 심지어는 귀머거리를 듣게 하시고 또한 벙어리도 말하게 하신다."하고 말하였다.

막07:37 사람들은 "귀머거리를 듣게 하시고 벙어리도 말을 하게 하시니 그분이 하시는 일은 놀랍기만 하구나" 하며 경탄하여 마지 않았다.

① with 추상명사 = 부사 : with amazement = amazingly [아래참조]

amaz·ing [ǝméiziŋ] ɑ. 놀랄 정도의, 어처구니 없는, 굉장한(astonishing).

언어는 그 언어를 사용하는 사람 사이에 약속이다. 그래서 다음과 같이 정하였다. 형용사가 없는 명사의 형용사 만들기 : of+명사= 형용사 taxi--형용사형이 없다. of taxi-택시의 형용사형

of + 추상명사[=형용사] , with[on, in] + 추상명사[=부사]의 형태를 취한다.

He is importance. (X) He ≠importance 그는 importance 자체[실체]가 아니다‘

He is of importance. (O) He = of importance(important) He는 He의 속성인 important를 나타낸다.

명사와 명사는 나란히 쓸 수 없어 He is a importance man.(X) He is a man of importance. (O)

of use = useful with use = usfully of ease = easy with ease = easily  of joy = joyful  with joy = joyfully

by accident (=accidently) on occasion (=occasionally) on purpose (=purposely)

in reality (=really) in haste (=hastily)  of care= careful  with care  =carefully

of 추상명사는 be 동사와 결합하여 be of service 봉사를 하다 be of interest 관심을 끌다

★ of + 형용사 + 추상명사 = 부사 + 형용사, with[on, in] + 형용사 + 추상명사 =부사 + 부사의 형태

of great eagerness = very eager, with great eagerness = very eagerly

of great care = very careful with great care = very carefully

② 사역동사 make :《+󰃄+do》…하게 하다 He even makes the deaf hear ｜and (makes) the mute speak.

㉤ 모든 형용사가 the + 형용사와 같이 사용되지는 않는다. --한 사람들(people, ones) —한 것들(ones)을 형용사 뒤에 써야한다. the happy (X) → the happy people the little (X) → the little ones
