수백점의 예술품을 훔친 실제 도둑 이야기이고, 한국판의 화려한(?) 마케팅으로 흥미를 가지고 시작한 책이었습니다.

중반부까지 계속 도둑질하는 이야기라 다소 지루하긴 했지만, 잡히고 나서 이야기가 흥미로웠던 것 같습니다.

결론은 사람은 변하지 않는다... 도둑은 그냥 도둑일뿐 이었던 것 같습니다.

긴 책 완독하느라 고생하셨고, 다양한 의견을 들을 수 있어서 재미있고 정말 즐거웠습니다.

Finkel includes a lot of detail about the stolen artworks. Did this enhance the
book for you, or did you feel overwhelmed by the descriptions?

2. What were your first impressions of Stéphane Breitwieser? Did you find him
fascinating, infuriating, or something else? Did your opinion change as the book
progressed?

3. What did you think of Breitwieser's relationship with Anne-Catherine? Do you
think she was an accomplice, a victim, or both?
What do you think about her behavior in court when she denied all allegations of
theft while Breitwieser protected her?

4. Breitwieser’s relatively short prison sentence surprised many. Do you think his
punishment was appropriate? Why or why not?

5. How would you describe the relationship between Breitwieser and his mother?
Do you think she enabled his behavior, or was she simply unaware of the extent
of his crimes?
What do you think motivated Mireille to destroy the stolen artwork after his
arrest? Was it an act of loyalty, revenge, or self-preservation?
