An integral part of life at MCM, Barton Farm offers pupils opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.

Pupils take part in caring for animals, growing and harvesting produce, and developing an understanding of sustainability in practice, including caring for our three goats, Milo, Cendol and Maggie.

The farm also supports daily initiatives such as composting, recycling and rainwater collection.

With the International Education and Sustainability Leadership Summit approaching, Barton Farm reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to sustainability , not only as a topic of discussion, but as something embedded in everyday school life.

What began as a pupil-led IB project has grown into a well-established space that supports both learning and a strong sense of community.

MCM에서 삶의 필수적인 부분인 바튼 팜은 학생들에게 교실 밖에서도 배울 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.
학생들은 동물을 돌보고, 농산물을 재배하고 수확하며, 우리의 세 마리 염소인 밀로, 센돌, 매기를 돌보는 것을 포함하여 실제로 지속 가능성에 대한 이해를 키우는 데 참여합니다.
농장은 또한 퇴비화, 재활용, 빗물 수집과 같은 일상적인 활동을 지원합니다.
국제 교육 및 지속 가능성 리더십 서밋이 다가옴에 따라 바튼 팜은 지속 가능성에 대한 대학의 지속적인 노력을 논의 주제뿐만 아니라 일상적인 학교 생활에 내재된 것으로 반영하고 있습니다.
학생 주도의 IB 프로젝트로 시작된 이 프로젝트는 학습과 강한 공동체 의식을 모두 지원하는 잘 정립된 공간으로 성장했습니다.
