The best version of Beethoven's Choral Fantasy I have ever heard. Absolutely divine.

Adore this piece. Have 8 different recordings of it This one is absolutely amazing and beautiful. BRAVA to all involved.

I love the fact that 1. she turns the pages herself, when she's able, leaving the page turner sitting there in awe. And, 2. That the conductor didn't start the beat---it was Algerich. In, effect, even setting her own tempo for the entire piece. THAT'S preparation.

My heart is full!! Just seeing Seiji Ozawa (now much older as I, too, am - I saw him in his prime when he was the conductor of the San Francisco Symphony) walk out arm in arm with the great Martha Argerich now, too, much older, brought tears to my eyes! How wonderful to see these two together bringing Beethoven's wonderful Choral Fantasy to life!!!Bravo to both of you!!

The best performance of the Choral Fantasy I have ever heard, Perfect.

This is the piece that first awoke my passion for Art Music. After 50 years I am happy to say that I had not listened to a performance of this level and emotion.

I have returned to this masterpiece many times. Each time I understand and love it more. Everyone involved should be so proud. Thank you.

What a passionate performance from two great masters!

I have listened to this recording again and again and this is indeed a lovely performance. While I have long been aware of this composition, it is only until lately that I could comprehend its beauty. The most amazing expression‎ in the choral is the part "und Kraft und Kraft vermählen". The choir and the orchestra really capture the spirit of this text and transmit this "Kraft" in a wonderful and exuberant harmony. Listening this part brings joy and excitement. Thanks for uploading this video.

Martha is the Queen regnant of the piano. Beethoven is smiling at her from above.

This is my favourite Beethoven, the beauty always brings tears of joy. It has fantastic piano, short solos of various instruments, duets between piano and instruments, and caps off with a mixture of vocal solos, trios, and complete choir, and a melody one finds that one is humming spontaneously the next day. Little wonder that Leonard Bernstein thought Beethoven was the greatest musical genius.

Martha is as animated, pin point accuracy, just as in her 30s. Wonderful performance with Seji. Old age need not be a total decline!!

I saw this recording so many times, and every time when I see these beautifull people enter the stage I get tears in my eyes. This is far most the best recording of Beethovens Choral Fantasy.
