1. 주의 첫날 일찍 아직 어두울 때에 마리아 막달라가 돌무덤에 와서 돌이 돌무덤에서 옮겨진 것을 보고

The first [day] of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

2. 이에 시몬 베드로와 예수님께서 사랑하시던 다른 제자에게 달려가서 그들에게 이르되, 그들이 [주]를 돌무덤에서

    옮겨다가 어디 두었는지 우리가 알지 못하노라, 하니라.

Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

3. 그러므로 베드로와 그 다른 제자가 나가서 돌무덤으로 가니라.

Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

4. 이처럼 그들 둘이 같이 달려갔는데 그 다른 제자가 베드로를 앞질러 달려가서 먼저 돌무덤에 이르렀더라.

So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

5. 그가 몸을 구부려 안을 들여다보고 아마포가 놓인 것을 보았으나 아직 들어가지는 아니하였더라.

And he stooping down, [and looking in], saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

6. 그 뒤 시몬 베드로가 그를 따라와서 돌무덤에 들어가 보매 아마포가 놓여 있고

Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

7. 또 그분의 머리 주변에 있던 수건은 아마포와 함께 놓이지 않고 함께 개인 채 한 곳에 따로 놓여 있더라.

And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

8. 그제야 돌무덤에 먼저 왔던 그 다른 제자도 들어가서 보고 믿었으니

Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

9.이는 그들이, 그가 반드시 죽은 자들로부터 다시 일어나야 하리라, 하신 성경 기록을 아직 알지 못하였기 때문이더라.

For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

10. 이에 제자들이 다시 자기들의 집으로 돌아가니라.

Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

11. 그러나 마리아는 바깥의 돌무덤에 서서 슬피 울더라. 그녀가 슬피 울면서 몸을 구부려 돌무덤 속을 들여다보고는

But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, [and looked] into the sepulchre,

12. 흰옷을 입은 두 천사가 예수님의 몸이 놓였던 곳에 하나는 머리 쪽에 하나는 발 쪽에 앉은 것을 보니라.

And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13. 그들이 그녀에게 이르되, 여자여, 어찌하여 슬피 우느냐? 하니 그녀가 그들에게 이르되, 그들이 내 [주]를 옮겨다가

      어디 두었는지 내가 알지 못하기 때문이니이다, 하더라.

And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

14. 그녀가 이렇게 말하고 뒤로 돌이켜 예수님께서 서 계신 것을 보았으나 그분이 예수님이신 줄 알지 못하더라.

And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

15. 예수님께서 그녀에게 이르시되, 여자여, 어찌하여 슬피 우느냐? 누구를 찾느냐? 하시니 그녀는 그분을 동산지기로

     생각하고 그분께 이르되, 선생님이여, 당신이 그분을 여기서 옮기셨거든 그분을 어디 두었는지 내게 일러 주소서.

     그리하면 내가 그분을 모셔 가리이다, 하매

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16.예수께서 그녀에게, 마리아야, 하시거늘 그녀가 돌이켜 그분께, 랍보니여, 하니 이 말은, 선생님이여, 라는 뜻이라.

Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

17. 예수님께서 그녀에게 이르시되, 내게 손을 대지 말라. 내가 아직 내 [아버지]께로 올라가지 아니하였노라.

      다만 내 형제들에게 가서 그들에게 이르되, 내가 내 [아버지] 곧 너희 [아버지], 내 [하나님] 곧 너희 [하나님]께로

      올라간다, 하라, 하시니

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God.

18.마리아 막달라가 가서 제자들에게 자기가 [주]를 보았으며 또 그분께서 자기에게 이것들을 말씀하셨다고 말하니라.

Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and [that] he had spoken these things unto her.

19. 그 뒤 같은 날 곧 주의 첫날 저녁때에 제자들이 유대인들을 두려워하여 모인 곳의 문들을 닫았는데 예수님께서

      오셔서 한가운데 서서 그들에게 이르시되, 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다, 하시니라.

Then the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you.

20. 그분께서 이렇게 말씀하시고 자기의 두 손과 자기의 옆구리를 그들에게 보이시니 그제야 제자들이 [주]를 보고

      반가워하더라.

And when he had so said, he shewed unto them [his] hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

21. 이에 예수님께서 다시 그들에게 이르시되, 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다. 내 [아버지]께서 나를 보내신 것 같이

      나도 너희를 보내노라, 하시니라.

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as [my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22. 그분께서 이것을 말씀하시고 그들 위에 숨을 내쉬며 그들에게 이르시되, 너희는 [성령]을 받으라.

And when he had said this, he breathed on [them], and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

23. 너희가 누구의 죄들을 사면하면 그것들이 사면될 것이요, 누구의 죄들을 그대로 두면 그것들이 그대로 있으리라,

      하시니라.

Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; [and] whose soever [sins] ye retain, they are retained.

24. 그러나 열두 제자 중의 하나인 디두모라 하는 도마는 예수님께서 오셨을 때에 그들과 함께 있지 아니하더라.

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25. 그러므로 다른 제자들이 그에게 이르되, 우리가 [주]를 보았노라, 하였으나 그가 그들에게 이르되, 내가 그분의 두

    손의 못 자국을 보고 내 손가락을 그 못 자국에 넣으며 내 손을 그분 옆구리에 넣지 않고는 믿지 아니하리라, 하니라.

The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26. 여드레가 지나서 그분의 제자들이 다시 안에 있을 때에 도마도 그들과 함께 있더라. 그때에 문들이 닫혔는데

      예수님께서 오셔서 한가운데 서서 이르시되, 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다, 하시고

And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: [then] came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace [be] unto you.

27. 그 뒤에 도마에게 이르시되, 네 손가락을 이리 내밀고 내 두 손을 보며 또 네 손을 이리 내밀어 내 옆구리에 넣으라.

      그리고 믿음 없는 자가 되지 말고 믿는 자가 되라, 하시니

Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28. 도마가 그분께 응답하여 이르되, 나의 [주]시며 나의 [하나님]이시니이다, 하매

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

29. 예수님께서 그에게 이르시되, 도마야, 너는 나를 보았으므로 믿었으나 보지 않고도 믿은 자들은 복이 있도다,

      하시니라.

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.

30. 진실로 예수님께서 자기 제자들 앞에서 이 책에 기록되지 않은 다른 표적들도 많이 행하셨으나

And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

31. 이것들을 기록함은 예수님께서 [하나님]의 [아들] 그리스도이심을 너희가 믿게 하려 함이요, 또 믿고 그분의

      이름을 통해 생명을 얻게 하려 함이니라.

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
