7. 중남미 - 1

내가 아프리카를 순방하면서 참아버님께서 한국이 한국동란으로 폐허가 된 상태에서 몇 안 되는 식구를 동원해 국민보몽운동을 펼쳤다고 소개하셨습니다. 그때는 청년이 많지 않았기 때문에 중고생들까지 동원되어 국민 계몽 운동을 열심히 전개했습니다.

이를 계기로 '새마을 운동'이 전국적으로 확산하는 토전을 만드셨으며, 그것이 한국을 오늘날 부국으로 이끄는 데 큰 역할을 했습니다. 원리 말씀을 중심 삼은 새마음 운동까지 병행하여 한국이 오늘날 선진국 대열에 들어갈 수 있게 된 것입니다.

한국이 정신적으로나 경제적으로 중심국가가 될 수 있었던 배경에는 참아버님의 공이 매우 컸습니다. 아프리카는 1950년대 1960년대의 한국보다 나은 입장에 있습니다. 땅이 얼마나 비옥한지 모릅니다. 무엇이든 심기만 하면 잘 자랍니다.

그런데 왜 굶어 죽는 사람이 생기며, 왜 질병에 시달리는 대륙이 됐는가? 정말로 내 나라라는 생각, 내 가족이라는 생각, 주인의식을 가진 지도자들이 없었기 때문에 발전이 없었던 것입니다.

말씀은 우리가 생활하는 데 꼭 필요한 지침서요 교과서입니다. 말씀대로 실천하게 되면 안 될 일이 없습니다. 어떻게 살아야 한다는 것을 전부 다 가르쳐 줍니다. 그런데도 왜 못살고, 왜 전도가 안 되고, 왜 발전을 못 하는지 많이 반성해야 합니다.

내가 우루과이에 와서 몬테비데오 시내를 돌아보니까 폐허처럼 느껴졌습니다. 사람 사는 도시같이 보이지 않았다는 말입니다. 우루과이의 여러분은 반성해야 합니다. 여러분은 엄청난 축복을 받았습니다.

여러분이 참감람나무라면, 아직 복귀되지 못한 세상은 돌감람나무 밭입니다. 여러분이 번식을 못 하면 결국 숫자에 밀리게 됩니다. 모든 것을 스스로 해결해야 합니다.

누가 해 주겠거니, 누가 도와주겠거니 하는 생각을 버리십시오. 이것은 내 일입니다. 내가 움직이지 않으면 내 자식이 죽을 수 있다고 생각하고 열심히 활동해야 합니다.

私はアフリカを歴訪しながら、真のお父様が、韓国が韓国動乱によって廃墟となった状態から、何人にもならない食口を動員して国民普蒙運動を繰り広げたことを紹介しました。

その時は、青年が多くなかったので、中高生まで動員されて、国民啓蒙運動を懸命に展開しました。これを契機として、「新しい村運動」が全国的に拡散される土台をつくられ、それが、韓国を今日の富国へと導く上で大きな投割を果たしました。

「原理」のみ言を中心とした「新しい心運動」まで並行して、韓国が今日、先進国の仲間入りをするようになったのです。韓国が精神的にも経済的にも中心国家となることができた背景には、真のお父様のとても大きな功労があったのです。

アフリカは、1950年代から1960年代の韓国よりましな立場にいます。土地がどれほど豊かかしれません。何でも、植えさえすればよく育ちます，なのに、なぜ飢え死にする人がいて、なぜ病気に苦しめられる大陸となったのでしょうか。

本当に、自分の国だという考え、自分の家族だという考え、主人意識をもつ指導者たちがいなかったため、発展がなかったのです。み言は、私たちが生活する上で必要な指針書であり教科書です。み言のとおり実践するようになれば、できないことがありません。

いかに生きるべきかということをすベて教えてくれます。それなのに、なぜ貧しく、なぜ伝道がうまくいかず、なぜ発展できないかを反省しなければなりません。私はウルグアイに來て、モンテビデオ市内を回って見たのですが、廃墟のように感じられました。

人が住む都市のようには見えませんでした。ウルグアイの皆さんは、反省しなければなりません。皆さんは、途方もない祝福を受けました。皆さんが真のオリーブの木なら、まだ復帰されていない世界は偽りのオリーブ畑です。

皆さんが繁殖できなければ、結局は数字に押されるようになります。すべてを自ら解法しなければなりません。誰かがしてくれるだろう、誰かが助けてくれるだろうという考えを捨ててください。

「これは私の仕事です。私が動かなければ'私の子女が死ぬかもしれない」と考え、一生懸命活動しなければなりません。（2006.7.28、ウルグアイ、モンテビデオ）

7. South and Central America - 1

On my tour across Africa, I introduced the story of how, at the time when Korea lay in ruins after the Korean Civil War, True Father mobilized what few church members he had to promote a national enlightenment movement.

There were not many adult members at the time, so even middle and high school students were mobilized to actively carry out the nationwide enlightenment movement. With that momentum, he laid the foundation on which the New Community Movement was expanded nationwide, which in turn played a major role in leading Korea to become the prosperous country it is today.

The New Mind, New Life Campaign centered on the teachings of the Divine Principle was also jointly carried out, which empowered Korea to join the ranks of today's advanced nations.
 
True Father contributed much from behind the scenes to Korea's becoming a central nation, both spiritually and financially. Africa is in a better position than that of Korea of the 19 50s and 1960s. Its land is so fertile. Whatever you plant grows well.

How, then, did Africa become a continent where people are dying from starvation and suffering from diseases? It could not develop because there has never been a leader who had a sense of ownership, who believed that the country was his country and the people his family. The Word is the guide book and textbook we absolutely need in living our daily lives.

If you practice the Word to the letter, there is nothing you cannot do. It teaches you everything about how you should live. And yet we are still living in poverty, we are unable to witness to others, and we are unable to achieve development, for which we should repent.
 
When I came to Uruguay, I took a look around Montevideo and it felt like the city was very run-down. What I mean is that it felt like a deserted city. You, the people of Uruguay, should feel remorseful about this. You have been greatly blessed.

If you are the true olive trees, the world yet to be restored is the field of wild olive trees. And if you fail to multiply, you will be outnumbered in the end. You need to resolve everything by yourselves.

Stop thinking that someone else will do it for you, or that others will help you. This is what you need to do. You should work hard with the thought that, if you don't do something about it, your own children could become the victims. (2006.07.28, Montevideo, Uruguay)
