JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES |
- Manage the lab with a group of technicians to ensure the delivery of accurate data. - Communicate with end customers on the analytical results and be able to assist the development of analytical business. - Provide the main internal and external customer contact point for technical issues and quality issues. - Direct, manage and assist all activities in the laboratory with first priorities to ensure data generated by laboratory. - Ensure safety training and a safe working environment for all employees and be a safety leader for the laboratory. - Ensure accurate evaluation, interpretation, and verification of data (samples, calibration, and quality control) for analyses performed in the laboratory. - Perform method development and/or transfer analytical methods into the laboratory for new materials. - Supervise direct reports and delegate activities and ensure cross-training throughout the lab. - Drive and participate continuous improvement efforts within the lab and company (method evaluations, quality functions, quality assurance issues, etc.) - Ensuring proper training of lab employees on new methods and SOP changes. - Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, Figures and Spreadsheets for the laboratory. - Manage the document control, training, and quality incident reporting program for employees in the lab. - Provide/ensure preventative maintenance for instrumentation in the laboratory. - Ensure consumable supplies are maintained and instrument maintenance is appropriate for |
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS |
Skill set/ knowledge/ expertise:
- 5+ years experience with ICP-MS and/or GC-MS and similar type instrumentation in a semiconductor chemistry related laboratory. - Experience with method development, data interpretation and explanation to internal and external customers with regards to laboratory data. - Laboratory management experience is required.\ - Must be knowledgeable on production cycle time issues, sample flow through the laboratory, and daily sample output - Good computer skills required (scientific instrument software, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, LIMS) - Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills including presentations to customers - Good organization skills. - Ability to work under time pressure on multiple requests. - Good verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English.
Educational Requirements:
- MS degree in Analytical Chemistry from an accredited university - PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry is a plus Behavioral Competencies:
