<P>It seem that Jack Frost is still nipping at our noses. You might be praying for this wearisome winter to end and the Lady Spring to come back to us. Well, you're in luck because today is <EM>ipchun</EM>, which marks the first day of spring according to the lunar calendar. Traditionally, <EM>ipchun </EM>is celebrated with <EM>Ipchuncheop, </EM>a hand-calligraphed banner with greetings of good wishs and health. People put up these beautifully-made poster on the main gates or pillars of their houses. One of the most common phrases, which happens to be my favorite, is "<EM>ipchun-dae-ail</EM>." It literally translates to "hoping for good fortune in the coming spring."</P>
