Hello, this is <Serendipity’s Embrace> Bluray Promotion Team. We are informing you about the current progress of the Bluray promotion as of September 5, 2024.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to the distributor, production companies, agencies including other staff and to all the fans who became OhBok Highschool Alumni fancafe members who provided a lot of help until we could open the pre-order for <Serendipity’s Embrace> Making Bluray. 

Bluray Production Plan

The <Serendipity’s Embrace> Bluray is planned to be released as a Making Bluray.

What is a Making Bluray?

It refers to a Bluray that contains additional special feature videos but DOES NOT INCLUDE the 8 broadcasted episodes.

Example of special feature videos: Making that includes never before seen behind the scenes footage, commentary, interviews and so on

<Serendipity’s Embrace> Base Content: 5 DISCS Making Bluray + Photobook + Numbering Card + Special Goods

*The special contents will be discussed in more detailed after the bluray production is confirmed

Pre-order Schedule and Price Information

• Pre-order Schedule: September 6, 2024 (Friday) at 2:00PM ~ September 29, 2024 (Sunday) at 11:59PM KST

• Pre-order retail price: $136.58 USD

• A $5 USD discount coupon will be given during the pre-order period

*Detailed website information will be announced later

Information about Commentary Process

If the minimum amount of pre-orders is reached and bluray production is confirmed, Director Song Hyun Wook, lead actors Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop have confirmed their participation in the commentary.

*Please note that the commentary may not be scheduled right away due to the actors’ schedules.

• Even if the pre-order has been opened, it doesn’t mean the Bluray production has been confirmed.

• The minimum amount of pre-orders must be secured for the Bluray production to be confirmed!

• If there aren’t enough orders and the Bluray production gets canceled, a full refund will be issued.

Please promote and show a lot of interest to the Making Bluray Pre-order of the drama <Serendipity’s Embrace>, which gave us heartwarming excitement like spring break.

The bluray team will also do our best until the end so that the bluray production can succeed.

All announcements uploaded in the bluray promotion fancafe are prohibited from being leaked outside the fancafe.

Please refrain from posting information in external sites other than the fancafe.

FAQ

Q. Is it hard to promote the premium bluray version which includes the 8 broadcasted episodes?

The premium bluray which includes the 8 broadcasted episodes (NOT re-edited) will have more discs than the making bluray so the minimum target sales and the price will also be even higher.

The actual sales demand was predicted based on the number of our current fancafe members, 

1. Achieving the minimum sales target for the premium bluray containing the aired episodes will be difficult and the possibility of bluray production getting cancelled is high.

2. If we try to push for the premium bluray pre-order and the bluray production gets cancelled, it will be difficult to convince them to let us re-do a pre-order for the making bluray instead.

For these reasons, we tried to be realistic and decided to go for the making bluray.

Q. Does the special features videos in the making bluray include unreleased scenes?

We can’t give you a definite answer because the exact contents of the special features videos such as unreleased (deleted scenes) still needs to be reviewed after we receive the original footage from the distributor.

Q. Is it possible to mention when promoting that the lead actors and director’s commentary participation has been confirmed?

It’s okay to mention it while promoting the bluray as long as you say that the director + lead actors (Kim So Hyun, Chase Jong Hyeop) commentary participation is confirmed, IF the minimum amount of pre-orders is reached and the bluray production is confirmed.
