Meet Dou who has lovely hair that looks like dandelion puffs.
Dou was rescued last October from euthanasia and stayed at an outdoor shelter. But a small dog like him can risk freezing to death in the winter, especially outdoors. Thankfully we found a fostering home for him and he got sent to his first fostering home last January, and he has been living there so far.
Because it was his first time living indoor life, he made a few mistakes in the beginning. However, Dou got so much better after receiving professional dog training and good care from his foster mom and dog trainer after even a short time.
He is continuing training and is sure to become even better!
We are looking for his pawever family who would love to have a happy life with this lovely dog Dou.

[Note from Dou’s current foster parents]
I heard Dou has never walked outside before.
So I was a little nervous when I tried to tie a collar on his neck but he was fine!
He didn’t try to take it off or bite at all. He just walked with no issue wherever I lead him to.
Dou used to mark in the house before I walked him outside, but he just stopped marking indoors and peed on the pad a couple times a day since I started walking him outside.
This is Dou when he took a snack from my hand for the first time!
I think it’s a big change for Dou because he has never lived indoors or has been around people daily.
He’s still a bit sensitive when I touch his face but thanks to repetitive training and snack, he lets me do it.
I have researched so much and got help from a professional dog trainer. (Me getting training for Dou, not Dou himself)
Doesn’t Dou look so much happier? He looked depressed and didn’t smile at all in the beginning but now he makes beautiful smile when he looks at me.
His smile is just like a pure-child’s smile, and makes me so happy.
Dou has a good manner too with other dogs he runs into outside.
❗❗ For the first few days when you adopt or foster a new dog, they could always act differently than expected. This is only because they are scared of new environments and it takes time to get used to a new place, and is not at all indicative that there is a problem ㅠㅠ
