Doing a Volunteer work

Weather? I was very strange the rain even it is very strong stopped in few seconds or minutes!

Strange weathers! I think humankinds are damaging the nature very much!

 Today, we went to Gong-ju in South Chung-cheong, near with Dae-jon, Cheon-an. I study at The  Gwangju - Hanam Office of Education.  Volunteer work is one of the article of it, I have to serve for 4 hours for one work! Yesterday, I slept about 11:30. It is normal time that I sleep. I thought I sleep too small. It was very harsh, I woke up at 6:30, I only slept 7 hours. When I woke up, the time was not enough, even I slept 7 hours. Last night, I packed up my bag. I have to go mathematic academy right after volunteer work.

 So, I packed mathematic academy books, pencil case, and color paper for volunteer work. At 7:30, we started to go to Gong-ju. The place for doing volunteer works is hospital. That named Gong-ju national mental hospital. My aunt work at there. After 1 hours and 30 minutes, I arrived at that Gong-ju national mental hospital.

 It was pretty big hospital. It has main hall, also it has a mountain at backward, and the best thing was, it has a small pretty garden like Frances Hodgson Burnett's secret garden. First, the doctor with nurse came to me, and ordered to twist and tie the rope. All of people in there was making Pelicana Chicken shopping bag, they got money from it. I made the rope that will be used as the handle of the shopping bag, I started it at 9:00 AM. Many people were working at there.

 Some other students came to serve at there. Also, there was many jobs. twist&tie rope(Me), making shopping bag, putting it into box, deliver it to Pelicana Chicken shop, make hole in bag (to put the rope)..... Very many jobs! My job was very important, it was basic of all jobs in here. But the all jobs were connected, so we helped each other and made it. I was so glad to help JJJs (mentally chanllenged person, 정신 지체 장애인)' works.

 Also, they was also glad to see youngsters like me, they would thought me cute. I twisted and tied about 600 ropes. I finished it at 11:00 AM. Whew! I won at race! The uncle beside of me started the work same as me, I thought chasing it will be a fun work. He started before me about 30 minutes, he did many twisting-tieing things! But, I finally, won him, I thought very happy feeling. So, I worked again happily. When I was doing work about 1 hours, my waist is almost paralyzed! 11:00 AM, all people at there were gone, they had to eat lunch. I didn't ate both breakfast and lunch yet, I was very hungry! I only ate 7 kimbabs.

 Suddenly, one social worker came to be, he asked to me to change the work. I was very bored about that work, so I allowed it. Second one was folding the shopping bag. It was pretty hard. But, it was funny! Third 3rd one was making the hole with the punch in bad. It was my final job! At 1:00 PM, finally the volunteer work finished, I worked for 4 hours. I all greeted to JJJs, doctors, social workers. It was very happy that I can help JJJs whenever I can!

 And I came out from hospial, I was happy (I finished volunteer work!).  I thought this memory will be remembered very good : my diary and memory tells to me that JJJs are not much different as normal person. I will serve very many times after today.

Did you know, I used to do that too! My father helped people with mental disablities (that's the best way to describe JJJ's in English) when I was younger. At first I was afraid of them, but really they were quite fun!

You said: The place for doing volunteer works is hospital.
It's better to say: People volunteer at the hospital.

I think it is really important to help other people, and good job to you for doing so well.

Wow, you and I did same works, it was exactly harsh but fun, isn't it?
