In Jesus’ name, there is authority. Therefore, those who believe in Jesus and are saved must exercise the authority of Jesus’ name. Then we must first understand why Jesus’ name has authority. 1> Because it is the name given by God the Father, that name has authority. In other words, because it is the name of the Son of God, God’s authority has been given. God hears and answers the prayers of those who call on the name of the Son. Also, because Jesus and the Holy Spirit are with God and created all things with Him, His name has authority and power. Therefore, those who have believed in Jesus, who has been saved, and has received salvation must become those who call on and proclaim Jesus’ name by faith. 2> Because it is the name that God exalted, it has authority. Because Jesus humbled Himself and obeyed to the point of dying on the cross, God exalted Him to the highest place and made Jesus the exalted name above all other names. (Philippians 2:6–11). So the ones in heaven, that is, the angels. Those who are on earth—that is, all humans, as well as animals and plants, and even Satan, the devil, and the spirits. He also made all who are under the earth, even the dead, to kneel before the name of Jesus. And with every mouth, they praised Jesus Christ and gave glory to God. It was God who exalted Jesus as the exalted name above all other names. Therefore, in the name of Jesus there is authority. God loved Jesus because He obeyed Him until He died on the cross. Therefore, we too must submit in order to receive love. Above all names, the outstanding name is Jesus’ name. So everyone submits to the name of Jesus. If they only call on Jesus’ name, they will tremble in fear and surrender. <Matthew 28:18> After Jesus rose from the dead, he came to his disciples and said, “The Father has given me authority over all things in heaven and on earth.” Therefore, it is to believe that in my name there is authority. If you believe in and proclaim the authority of Jesus’ name, the demons will leave. <Matthew 10:1> Jesus called the twelve disciples and gave them authority over them to drive out unclean spirits and to heal every disease and every weakness. This word gave the disciples authority to cast out demons, and authority to heal every disease and every weakness. Therefore, if you believe in and proclaim the power of Jesus’ name, you will be healed. Do not think that you lack ability; believe in and proclaim the power of Jesus’ name. Then the spirits will leave, and the disease will be healed. <Acts 16:18>Paul said to the demon, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you: come out of him.” Immediately the demon came out. This passage refers to the time when the Apostle Paul, in the name of Jesus Christ, commanded the demon to come out of that person, and the demon immediately came out. Therefore, we must believe in and proclaim the power of Jesus’ name so that no spirit may disturb our lives. It must be declared like this. The name of Jesus has been given to me. In Jesus’ name is authority to rule over demons. I command in the name of Jesus. My son, I shatter your dominion over my spirit, soul, and body. In the name of Jesus, disarm all your troops. Above all names, the excellent name is the name of Jesus. You also gave that name to me. That name has power. Power is in that name. There is dignity in that name. I have the right to use that name. Therefore, in the name of Jesus, I command you, Satan, to go away. In the name of Jesus, I command: O disease, go away. I command in the name of Jesus. Pain, please leave my body. I command in the name of Jesus. All evil will pierce and leave me. In the name of Jesus, I proclaim freedom. The name of Jesus is an excellent name above all other names
