북한이 러시아에 지상군뿐만 아니라 전투기 파일럿들도 보냈다고 합니다. 지난 달 블라디보스토크에 전투기 조종사를 보냈다고 하는데, 이들이 전장에서 러시아 전투기를 조종할 지, 아니면 군수물자 및 지상군 파병의 대가로 북한에 지원될 전투기 조종 훈련을 받기 위해 보내진 것인지는 아직 불분명하네요. 

만약 전자라면 이는 베트남 전쟁, 혹은 1973년 욤 키푸르 전쟁 이후 처음으로 북한 전투기 조종사들이 해외에서 전쟁에 참여하는 것이라고 합니다.

North Korea might have dispatched fighter pilots to Russia, who are capable of flying Russian military aircraft and could participate in the war against Ukraine, according to Newsweek.

The agency said that North Korea has not only sent ground forces to Russia but may have deployed fighter pilots to Vladivostok last month.

These pilots were reportedly sent shortly before news broke of North Korea’s ground forces being deployed on October 8.

Newsweek suggests that the relocation of these pilots might be linked to training on Russian combat aircraft that are supplied to North Korea. However, it's also possible that Russia, currently facing a shortage of pilots, sought North Korea’s assistance.

If this is indeed the case, Russia would become the first foreign deployment location for North Korean fighter pilots since the Vietnam War. North Korean pilots also operated in Syria and Egypt during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

In early October, reports emerged that North Korea might send regular troops to Ukraine in support of Russian occupiers.

Recently, it was revealed that North Korea had transferred its Special Forces unit to Russia, a unit known as one of the most secretive in the world.

According to Ukraine’s military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov, North Korean soldiers will begin fighting against Ukraine in November.

Meanwhile, South Korea has promised to take "gradual measures" against North Korea and Russia due to their deepening military cooperation, including arms supplies to Ukraine, both offensive and defensive.

SU25 파일럿들은 별다른 추가훈련 없이 (물론 관숙훈련은 필요하겠지만..) 투입할 수 있을거라는 분석이 있던데 현실화되나 봅니다.

Su-25 파일럿들은 특히 손실률이 높을 테니 러시아에서도 바로 전장에 투입할 것 같네요.
