Different backgrounds, shared friendships and a place where every child belongs.

Our Malaysia Day celebration at Straits International School Penang reminded us that learning about a country also means getting to know its people—their stories, traditions and the things that matter to them.

For our students, that understanding begins with the friends beside them. Asking about someone’s culture, listening to a different perspective and sharing a little of their own helps children build respect for one another.

That is Amazing Learning we want them to carry beyond the classroom: an appreciation of their own roots and an open mind towards others.

다양한 배경과 함께하는 우정, 그리고 모든 아이가 속할 수 있는 공간.

스트레이츠 인터내셔널 스쿨 페낭에서 열린 말레이시아 데이 행사는 한 나라를 배우는 것이 그 나라 사람들, 즉 그들의 이야기와 전통, 그리고 그들에게 중요한 것들을 알아가는 것임을 다시 한 번 일깨워주었습니다.

우리 학생들에게 그 이해는 곁에 있는 친구들로부터 시작됩니다. 누군가의 문화를 묻고, 다른 관점을 듣고, 자신의 생각을 조금 나누는 것은 아이들이 서로에 대한 존중심을 키우는 데 도움이 됩니다.

정말 놀라운 일입니다. 우리는 아이들이 교실을 넘어 자신의 뿌리를 소중히 여기고 타인에 대해 열린 마음을 갖길 바랍니다.
