2008 NCN Convention(2008.11.2~11.8)

<H3>지난 11월 2일부터 7일까지 미국 로스캐롤라이나주에서 열린 2008 NCN Convention...에서 장옵드벡이 캐리커쳐 작가상과 작품상을 함께 받았군요. 각국에서 약 180명정도가 참석해 기량을 선보였고 전체참가자들의 투표를 통해 시상이 결정되었습니다.. NCN홈페이지에 게제된 뉴스(아래전문)에 보면 스피드부문에서도 시상이 있었는데.. 5분에 18장을 그린 Steve Dorris 이 최고입니다..^^ 약 15초에서 20초에 한장씩 그렸다는 얘기네요^^... 빨리 그리는게 목적이기보단 일종의 관찰과 묘사능력의 훈련으로 필요할 수 있다는 생각입니다.. 국제캐리커쳐협회는 매년 각국의 캐리커쳐작가들이 모여 포럼과 스킬등을 나누고 정보교환 그리고 친목을 다지는 행사로 여건이 되면 각국을 순회하면서 열리고 있습니다.. 자신의 작품들을 보내고 약 55$정도면 회원가입이 됩니다. 언젠가 기회가 되어 함께 참여하고 또 한국에서도 행사를 할 수 있게 되겠지요... 엇그제 행사가 끝나 아직 동영상들은 많이 올라오지않고 있는데.. 시간이 지나면 유투브등에 올라올 것이고 링크해서 함께 구경해 보도록 하겠습니다...</H3> <H3 style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><img src="https://t1.daumcdn.net/cafefile/pds97/16_cafe_2008_11_12_14_45_491a6d8fe09af" border="0" hspace="1" vspace="1" class="tx-daum-image" width="731" height="531" style="CLEAR: none; FLOAT: none; WIDTH: 731px; HEIGHT: 531px" actualwidth="1000" /></H3> <H3> </H3> <H3>(아래는 NCN홈페이지 뉴스 전문입니다)</H3> <H3>NCN Announces 2008 Award Winners </H3> <H4>180 artists competed this year!</H4> 2000-00-00 Raleigh, NC-- November, 2008 -- 180 artists in the National Caricaturist Network competed for the prestigious Golden Nosey award at the 17th annual convention in Raleigh, North Carolina, November 2nd -November 7th, 2008. The convention attracted over 200 attendees representing 10 countries, ranging from professional artists to caricature enthusiasts. They flooded the ballroom of the Brownstone Holiday Inn near the campus of North Carolina State University. Artists at the convention displayed their skills as they competed for the Caricaturist of the Year award (a gold statuette known as the Golden Nosey), as well as competing in a variety of specialized categories such as best likeness, best portfolio, best color technique, and Caricature of the Year. All competitions are judged not by a panel, but by the vote of attending members. For Caricaturist of the Year and Caricature of the Year, the top ten artists are honored. These prestigious awards are highly regarded in the caricature community, and recognize world-renowned artists.
