Mission Statement
Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES) is a community-based, not for profit organization dedicated to encouraging stewardship of our natural world through environmental education and action.
Position Description & Link to the Organization's Mission
The Stanley Park Eco-Stewards Program (previously called Ivy Busters) works hard to restore degraded habitats by removing invasive species, planting native species, decommissioning unsanctioned trails, and adding course woody debris and other enhancements in Stanley Park.
Enthusiastic volunteers gather for a fun-filled morning or afternoon to take part in various restoration projects in the Park where it is most needed. Together volunteers will work towards conserving biodiversity and restoring important habitat in Stanley Park. Stanley Park Eco-Stewards events are open to the public and are held twice per month on Saturday or Sunday. Please check our events calendar for upcoming dates.
Skills & Experience
- 14 years old or older
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Deliverables / Duties
Work will primarily focus on removing invasive plant species by hand or with hand tools. Native species will be planted if available and suitable to the management area.
Other Requirements
This program is catered toward individuals, families, and small groups (<10 people). Children between the ages of 6 and 12 are welcome if accompanied and supervised by an adult. All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer agreement prior to participating.

아이들이 있는 가정은 가족끼리 뭉치는 시간도 가지고 숲에 대해 생각해보는 유익한 시간도 될것 같아요.
