Hyundai Motor's labor and management have concluded their wage negotiations without a strike for the sixth year in a row, agreeing on the highest wage increase in the company's history.
현대 자동차 노사가 회사 역사상 최고 임금 인상에 합의하며 6년 연속 무파업으로 임금협상을 마무리했다.

The union said Saturday its members have voted to accept a tentative wage deal reached earlier in the week.
노조는 토요일 조합원들이 주초에 타결된 잠정 임금협상안을 수용하기로 투표했다고 밝혔다.

Under the agreement, Hyundai will increase workers' basic monthly pay by 4.65 percent, or 111,200 won ($81), and give a one-off performance-based bonus equivalent to 500 percent of the basic monthly salary, plus 18 million won, to each worker. In addition, each employee will receive 25 shares in the company.
협약에 따라 현대는 근로자의 기본급을 4.65%인 111,200원(81달러) 인상하고, 근로자 1인당 기본급의 500%에 해당하는 일회성 성과급에 1,800만원을 더해 지급한다. 또한, 근로자 1인당 회사 주식 25주를 받게 된다.

The company also agreed to extend the maximum period for retired skilled workers to be reemployed as contract-based workers from the current one year to two years.
회사 측은 또 퇴직 기능인력이 계약직으로 재취업할 수 있는 최대 기간을 현행 1년에서 2년으로 연장하기로 합의했다.

The agreed-upon wage increase is the highest in the company's history.
합의된 임금 인상은 회사 역사상 최고치이다.

With the unionized workers voting in favor of the deal, the carmaker has concluded wage bargaining without a strike since 2019.
노조원들이 합의안에 찬성표를 던진 가운데 이 완성차 업체는 2019년부터 파업 없이 임금협상을 마무리했다.

The deal was reached just two days ahead of the union's planned strike. It reportedly withdrew the strike plan after management agreed on the highest-ever wage raise and the two-year reemployment program for skilled retired workers.
노조가 계획한 파업을 불과 이틀 앞두고 타결된 것이다. 사측이 사상 최고 임금 인상과 숙련된 퇴직 근로자를 위한 2년간 재취업 프로그램에 합의한 뒤 파업 계획을 철회한 것으로 알려졌다.

"The union and the management will faithfully carry out their social roles as members of the global community and prepare together for a better future," the automaker said in a statement.
이 자동차 회사는 성명에서 "노조와 사측은 지구촌의 일원으로서 사회적 역할을 충실히 수행하고 더 나은 미래를 위해 함께 준비할 것,"이라고 밝혔다.
