Can you break a $20 note?
exchange into different (smaller) bills ~
you don’t lose any money for “breaking” a bill, —
an example of when this would be asked, is:
some restaurants don’t accept $100 bills, (they don’t have enough cash in their drawer to help with that).
so some people may go into a grocery store, and politely ask them to break their $100 bill, before they are then able to eat at the restaurant.
the worker doing the exchange, would often ask if the person has any preferences, for types of bills; but generally it would be split into 5 $20 bills
