Both shipper and recipient can track delivery progress with a unique tracking number. You can also track from Canada Post’s mobile app or receive email notifications. Available for Expedited Parcel, Regular Parcel and Expedited Parcel — USA only.
Ship confidently with up to $100 liability coverage against loss or damage. If you are sending valuable items, you can purchase additional liability coverage for extra peace of mind. Available for Expedited Parcel, Expedited Parcel — USA and International, and international parcels only.
Be assured your delivery will arrive on time. If it isn’t, you’ll receive replacement service or credit equivalent to the shipping charges. Available for Expedited Parcel business customers only.
Any duty or tax owing will be collected from the recipient upon delivery. Available for Expedited Parcel — USA, International Parcel — Air and International Parcel — Surface.
Depending on your needs, you can also choose from the following value-added options, which are available for additional fees.
Ensures a personal hand-off of the item at delivery. The name of the signatory is recorded as well as the signature. Available for Regular and Expedited Parcel only.
If you require a hard copy of the name and signature of the person who signed for the item, you can get it free online, or have a copy sent to you for a fee. Available for Regular Parcel and Expedited Parcel only.
If a delivery cannot be completed, the parcel will be safely returned to you. Associated parcel return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. Available for all services.
Collect on Delivery (or cash on delivery) is a Canada Post service. It allows the sender to collect up to $5,000 (by cheque) or $1,000 (in cash) from the person receiving a delivery. This service is available only within Canada. We collect the payment on behalf of the sender before handing over the parcel, and send it securely to the shipper.
You can buy a COD shipping option at one of our 6,200 convenient post offices along with one of our shipping services: Priority™, Xpresspost™, Expedited Parcel or Regular Parcel.

You can associate your own internal reference number or reference name to a shipment when creating the shipping label. Available for Expedited Parcel, Regular Parcel and Expedited — USA only.
Protect your business by ensuring that when the receiver appears to be less than 25 years of age, valid photo ID is requested. Available for Regular and Expedited Parcel only.
Proof of identity gets in-person authentication of the intended recipient. It is ideal for large shippers of valuable documents or merchandise such as credit cards, identity cards and high-value goods.
Simplify customer returns with Canada Post. We offer several options for collecting returns and exchanges of online purchases. All parcel return labels contain a unique tracking number and barcode, which allow return shipments to be tracked. You will be charged only if your parcel return label is used. Available for Regular and Expedited Parcel only.

Our pickup services are available to businesses in most urban and suburban areas. Use our parcel pickup tool to see if pickup is available in your area, request a pickup and to find local call-in cut-off times for on-demand. Available for all services.

If no one answers the door, the delivery agent will look for a safe location on the receiver’s property. If not available, the item will be left at a local post office for pickup.
A delivery notice card will be left for the addressee and the item will be forwarded to the designated post office. Ideal for shipments containing temperature-sensitive items.
If the item does not fit in the mail receptacle and if no one answers the door, a delivery notice card will be left and the addressee will be able to pick up the item at the designated post office.
Your online consumers can choose to have their items delivered to a post office of their preference, such as near their work or cottage. Ideal option for high-value or temperature-sensitive items.
Pricing for all parcel delivery is based on the size, weight, origin and destination of your package.
