현행범 체포등 강력한 법으로 다스릴수 밖에 없다.

대류불연(大謬不然) - 처음 의도와 달리 일이 크게 잘못되다.

紀傳體(기전체) 사서의 효시 史記(사기)를 남긴 司馬遷(사마천)은 중국 최고의 역사가를 넘어선다는 평가를 받는다. 하지만 그는 불행 속에서 대작을 집필하여 불굴의 의지가 더 빛났다. 48세 때인 서기전 99년 생식기를 잘리는 宮刑(궁형)을 받고서도 수치를 이겨내고 대작을 완성했다. 前漢(전한)의 국력을 떨친 7대 武帝(무제)에게 장군 李陵(이릉)이 匈奴(흉노)에 항복한 것을 변호하다 미움을 받아 치욕을 당한 것이다.

중과부적의 상황에서 어쩔 수 없는 투항을 벌주면 나라를 위해 싸울 장수가 없을 것이라고 바른 말을 하다 눈 밖에 났다. 좋은 일을 하려다 원래 의도와 크게 어긋나(大謬) 다르게 일이 이루어졌다(不然)는 이 성어는 사마천이 친구 任安(임안)에게 보낸 편지에서 나왔다.

임안이 황궁을 지키는 군관으로 있을 때인 서기전 91년 巫蠱(무고, 蠱는 독벌레 고)의 난에 휩쓸렸다. 무제가 병으로 눕게 된 것이 무당의 주법 때문이라며 많은 사람을 옥사시킬 때 황태자인 戾太子(여태자)가 반란을 일으켰고, 임안이 동원령을 거부했다가 모함을 받았다.

억울하게 처형될 위기에 처하자 사마천에게 억울한 옥살이를 호소하며 선처해주도록 손길을 내밀었다. 치욕스런 형벌에서 벗어나 中書令(중서령)이란 관직에 있었던 사마천은 환관으로 사대부들의 멸시를 받는 처지라 선뜻 답장을 못했다. 그러다 친구가 처형되면 한이 될 것 같아 쓴 것이 ‘報任少卿書(보임소경서)’다. 少卿(소경)은 임안의 자이다.

부분을 보자. 자신은 부친의 덕으로 사관인 太史(태사)가 되어 궁을 드나들게 되었는데 물동이를 이고 하늘을 볼 수 없어(戴盆望天/ 대분망천) 손님과 사귐도 끊고 집안일도 잃어 버렸다면서 이어진다. ‘밤낮으로 부족하나마 재주를 다하고 한마음으로 맡은 일에 힘써 주군을 즐겁게 하려 했지만(日夜思竭其不肖之才力 務一心營職/ 일야사갈기불초지재력 무일심영직), 일이 크게 잘못 되어 그렇지 못했습니다(以求親媚於主上 而事乃有大謬不然者夫/ 이구친미어주상 이사내유대류불연자부).’ 媚는 아첨할 미. 사마천이 구차하게 목숨을 부지하는 심정을 피력하며 좋은 의미의 일도 때로는 화를 가져 온다고 했다. 임안은 그 얼마 뒤 허리가 잘리는 腰斬刑(요참형)을 당했다.

사마천과 같이 좋은 세상을 위해 전심전력으로 일을 해도 받아들여지지 않을 때는 절망스럽다. 건설적인 의견을 냈는데도 윗사람이 안목이 좁아 내쳤을 수도 있고 반대파들에 휘둘려 좌절됐을 수도 있다. 어떤 것이 조직을 위해 옳은 것인지 구성원 전체가 잘 살펴야 한다. 그런가 하면 대체적으로 반대 의견이 많은데도 자기 갈 방향으로 따라 오라며 밀어붙이는 경우도 있다. 어떠한 정책으로 실적이 뒷걸음질 치는데 고집스럽게 나간다면 돌이킬 수 없는 사태에 직면할 수 있기 때문이다.

Sima Qian, who wrote the first historical book, Shiji (史記), is considered to be more than China's greatest historian. However, his indomitable will shone even brighter as he wrote his masterpiece in misfortune. At the age of 48, in 99 BC, he was castrated to have his genitals cut off, but he overcame the humiliation and completed his masterpiece. He was hated and humiliated by the 7th Emperor Wu (武帝), who had shown the national power of the Former Han Dynasty, for defending General Li Ling's surrender to the Xiongnu.

In a situation where there is no choice but to surrender, he said the right thing, saying that there would be no generals to fight for the country, but he was out of favor. This idiom, which means that while trying to do a good deed, things went very differently (大謬) from the original intention (不然), came from a letter that Sima Qian sent to his friend Ren An.

When Ren An was a military officer guarding the palace, he was caught up in the Wugu Rebellion (巫蠱, 蠱 means poisonous bug) in 91 BC. When Emperor Wu was lying ill and was putting many people to death because of the witch's magic, the crown prince, Prince Lu, rebelled, and Ren An refused to obey the mobilization order and was framed.

When he was in danger of being unjustly executed, he appealed to Sima Qian for leniency and asked for mercy. Sima Qian, who escaped the humiliating punishment and held the position of Zhongshuling (中書令), was a eunuch and was looked down upon by the aristocrats, so he could not readily reply. Then, he wrote the ‘報任少卿書 (報任少卿書)’ because he was afraid that he would feel resentful if his friend was executed. Shaojing (少卿) is the courtesy name of Im-an.

Let’s look at the part. He became a Grand Historian (太史) through his father’s virtue and was able to visit the palace, but he could not look at the sky while carrying a water jar (戴盆望天/ 대분망천), so he lost contact with guests and lost his household affairs. ‘Day and night, I tried my best with my talents, even though they were lacking, and devoted my whole heart to the task assigned to me to please my lord (日夜思竭其不肖之才力 務一心營職/ 일야사갈기불초지재력 무일심영직), but things went badly wrong and I couldn’t do it (以求親媚於主 而事乃有大謬不然者夫/ 이구친미어주상 이나내유대류불연자부)’ 媚 means flattery. Sima Qian expressed his feelings of desperately trying to survive, saying that even good intentions sometimes bring disaster. Im An was later sentenced to beheading (腰斬刑).

Like Sima Qian, when you work wholeheartedly for a better world but are not accepted, you feel hopeless. Even if you have provided constructive opinions, your superiors may have been narrow-minded and dismissed you, or you may have been swayed by the opposition and frustrated. All members must carefully consider what is right for the organization. On the other hand, there are cases where people generally have opposing opinions but push forward, telling you to follow their direction. 요즘우리사회는 시챗말로 사람은 안보이고 정치인ㆍ검찰인.사법인들만 보인다는 말이 있습니다.기업인.사업인.농민들은 보이도않고 방송에서도 다루지않지요.
토론방식도 조선시대보다 휠씬 후퇴했구요. 다름을 서로 인정하고 합리적인 결론을 못내고 맨날싸우고 년봉수억씩 받아먹는현실이니 써글~^^
