Invictus-first Spelling Bee Competition!

We had our first Spelling Bee Competition Finals for our Year 5 and Year 6 students today. They were given a list of spelling words to memorise, and the first round was held in their respective classes. In the last week, there were written spelling tests in the different classes; the top five spellers went into round two where they had to verbally spell out the words. Spelling words out loud can be tricky! Teachers picked the top two winners for the final round at the multi-purpose hall. As friends cheered the finalists on, our spellers fought their nerves on stage and the quick-buzz round was most exciting for everyone. The top three winners for each category (Year 5, Year 6 and EAL) were presented with shiny gold trophies and all participants received medals for their commendable effort!

오늘 5학년과 6학년 학생들을 위한 첫 번째 스펠링 비 대회 결승전이 열렸습니다. 각 부문별로 암기할 철자 단어 목록이 주어졌고, 1라운드는 각자의 반에서 진행되었습니다. 지난 주에는 각 반에서 필기 스펠링 테스트가 있었고, 상위 5명의 철자가 2라운드에 진출하여 구두로 단어를 철자해야 했습니다. 단어를 크게 철자하는 것은 까다로울 수 있습니다! 교사들은 다목적 홀에서 최종 라운드에서 상위 2명의 우승자를 선정했습니다. 친구들이 결승 진출자들을 응원하자 무대 위에서 긴장감을 감추지 못했고, 퀵버즈 라운드는 모두에게 가장 흥미로웠습니다. 각 부문별 상위 3명의 우승자(5학년, 6학년, EAL)에게는 반짝이는 금 트로피가 수여되었고, 모든 참가자들은 칭찬할 만한 노력으로 메달을 받았습니다!
