1.巴西水患義診
Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I'm Maggie Tsai. Thank you for joining us. In a city in Brazil, there was a severe flood this March. Volunteers hosted aid distributions after assessing the damage. Considering that local residents' health might be affected and the public medical system wasn't well-funded, Tzu Chi medical team hosted a free clinic that includes many different departments, in the hopes of helping these impoverished communities.

TIMA Northern Taiwan Chapter holds free clinics in Shangzhi and Shimen, both in Taiwan, on a regular basis. This time, they began a special visitation route to care for elderly Tzu Chi volunteers. Let's take a look.
3.桃教養院關懷
Tzu Chi volunteers in Taoyuan, Taiwan, regularly visit residents of Bade nursing home as families. This month's visit coincided with the Dragon Boat Festival, so many children from a Tzu Chi children's class also went there, and carried out many performances to entertain the elderly with love and warmth.
4.楊忠一捐髓
A Stem cell donor Yang Zhongyi is the director of New Taipei City assistive device center. He has dedicated his life to promoting the access to assistive devices for physically challenged people in need. He also vowed to donate stem cells one day. Now he has successfully found a match, and his wish to help patients in need has been fulfilled.
5.腦瘤莊鳳鳴
Zhuang Fengming from Taichung installed iron gates for a living. At the beginning of May this year he had an epileptic seizure and was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was five centimeters long. He was transferred from Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital to Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital for treatments. He has recovered well after the surgery.
6.中照顧戶修繕
Also in Taichung, due to heavy rain in May, care recipient's house was flooded. Since her bedroom was flooded, she could only sleep in the living room. Upon learning of her situation, Tzu Chi volunteers have gone there to help her clean up the house and repair the leaking roof.
7.東莞環保併
Tzu Chi Dongguan recycling education center held a joint nature carnival with the management of a botany park, with 34 organizations taking part. Local Tzu Chi volunteers used the chance to pass on Tzu Chi's recycling ideals and actions to the public. On the other hand, Tzu Chi volunteers in Shangsha (上沙) Community started their first recycling event in a park, and hoped to bring in local schools to join them.
8.七美社區環保
In Taiwan, every summer, lots of tourists will visit Qimei Island, in Penghu. Unfortunately, they also leave many garbage on the island. Worried about marine pollution and since most of the Qimei Island residents are seniors, the township mayor has invited Tzu Chi volunteers to promote recycling. Let's join them there.
9.馬親子學惜福
Tzu Chi's parent-child class was a little different this month in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Students went outdoors to learn how to plant vegetables and experience the hard work of farmers. They also learned about the work at a recycling station and the humanistic culture to cultivate themselves.
10.嗅覺小尖兵(三)
Dogs are considered human's best friends. Customs detection dogs work at the airport every day and also contribute to other parts of our lives. However, it is not easy to cultivate such a dog as they need to have special characteristics and the ability to pass rigorous trainings.
