I’ve been doing balance exercise for a while now and always appreciate learning more. I’ve found that unlike strength training, the balance exercises improved my balance very quickly, in a manner of a few weeks.

It’s scary how many of us take supplements blindly. I’m glad this video brings attention to the risks.

You are right about FEAR being the thing that holds me back! I am slowly overcoming this by forcing myself not to be afraid. I do this by remembering what a physical therapist told me: my legs are strong and are supporting me! My neuropathy is still a problem, but I am using “mind over matter” and always think about what I am trying to do. I recognize that when I don’t do this, and move impulsively without thinking, it is then that I can get into trouble.

Read the book, Will, by George Will. He was very fearful until he starting confronting his fears and then was able to overcome them…

My balance issues began with a stroke in 2016. A constant reminder. A constant nightmare.

It seems my balance issues got ahead of me. I didn't realize how much and how fast. I've been exercising and trying to regain strength and balance, but it is a slow process. I'm doing much better. Thank you for your exercises and encouragement!

Yes, I'm in a "SAIL" balance and flexibility exercise class at my local Senior Center twice a week and also do the exercises at home between classes. I'll soon be 73. My balance is very much improved since I started several years ago. I find they don't correct my balance entirely but it does provide me with what I need to prevent falling. That's the main thing so I'm very pleased. I've had no falls in a few years now. Even when in challenging situations.

I did the second one. On the 3rd day, I was able to balance for 1 minute. I could've gone longer. I feel much better. Thank you.

I recently got back into surfing after a break for several years at 74. Balance is vital. I do a lot of these and they definitely help!
