부르주 대성당[ Bourges Cathedral ] -프랑스(France)

1195년 건립을 시작하여 1324년 5월 13일에 완공되었으며, 최초의 그리스도교 순교자인 성 스데반(Saint Stephen)에게 헌정되었다. 폭15m, 길이118m의  본당 회중석을 갖춘 오랑식(五廊式) 성당으로 독특한 고딕양식 건물이다.

부르주 대성당(Bourges Catheral)이 위치하고 있는 부르주(Bourges)지역은 고대 로마 도시인 아바리쿰(Avaricum)이 있던 곳이었다. 기록에 따르면 그 곳에서는 3세기에 이미 갈리아 최초의 그리스도교 숭배가 이루어지고 있었다. 11세기 고즐랭 대주교(Archbishop Gozlin)에 의해 그 자리에 로마네스크(Romanesque) 양식의 성당이 들어선다. 이 새로운 성당이 부르주 대성당이다.
