정현의 호주오픈 준결승 상대가 

     로저 페더러(R. Federer)로 확정됐다.

                 

로저 페더러((R. Federer)세계 2위·스위스)는

 24일 호주 멜버른파크 로드레이버 아레나에서

 열린 2018 호주오픈 테니스대회 남자단식 8강전에서

 토마스 베르디흐(세계 20위·체코)를 

세트스코어 3-0(7-6<7 1> 6-3 6-4)으로 이겼다

정현은 24일 오전 열린 8강전에서 

테니스 샌드그렌(세계 97위·미국)을 

세트스코어 3-0으로 꺾었다. 앞서 페더러를

 우상이라고 밝힌 정현은 4강 상대가 누구였으면

 좋겠냐는 장내 아나운서의 질문에 

"50대 50이다"라고 답한 바 있다.

정현과 로저 페더러의 4강전 경기는

 오는 26일 오후 5시 30분에 펼쳐진다.

페더러와 나달의 경기에 볼보이로 참여한

 정현이 앞줄 맨 왼쪽에 앉아있다.

Federer booked his place in the semi-finals of the Australian 

Open after sweeping aside Tomas Berdych in straight sets.

Chung, meanwhile, 

has been the surprise package of the tournament so far.

After taking out Alexander Zverev and Djokovic, 

the South Korean reached the last four with 

a convincing win over Tennys Sandgren.

Chung represents an unknown quantity for

 Federer as the pair have never faced each other previously.

And Federer reckons Chung has a similar style 

to Djokovic especially in terms of being solid defensively.

              “I'll definitely have to look into

               how I need to play against him 

               because he has some great qualities, 

               especially defensively, like Novak has,"  Federer said.

                   "One thing I know is

               I'm going to be playing aggressive. 

               “I don't know how I'm going to do

                that exactly yet.
