법왜곡죄 시행 첫날 조희대 대법원장이 이재명 대통령의 공직선거법 위반 사건 파기 환송을 결정한 것과 관련해 경찰에 고발당했습니다.

이병철 변호사는 오늘(12일) 조 대법원장과 박영재 전 법원행정처장을 법왜곡죄로 처벌해달라며 경찰에 고발장을 제출했다고 밝혔습니다.

이 변호사는 조 대법원장이 지난해 5월 이재명 대통령의 공직선거법 위반 혐의 사건을 유죄 취지로 파기환송할 때 형사소송법을 의도적으로 왜곡했다고 주장했습니다.

고발장은 지난 2일 법왜곡죄가 시행되기 전 국민신문고를 통해 접수됐고, 국가수사본부는 이 변호사의 주거지인 용인 서부경찰서에 해당 사건을 배당했습니다.

용인 서부경찰서는 "민원인에게 정식 고발 수사를 원하는지 확인해 조사 일정을 잡을 예정"이라고 설명했습니다.

하지만 이 변호사는 경찰이 수사 의지가 없고 법리 이해가 부족한 것으로 판단된다며 고위공직자범죄수사처에도 같은 내용으로 고발장을 제출한 것으로 파악됐습니다.
