MANILA—Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. and Chinese counterpart Wang Yi will hold a bilateral meeting in Davao next week.
In a statement, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Wang is set to arrive there Sunday.
Locsin and Wang will also witness the signing of bilateral agreements on infrastructure, law enforcement and humanitarian assistance.
This would be the second time Locsin and Wang are meeting after the former succeeded Alan Peter Cayetano at the DFA.
Locsin and Wang first met on the sidelines of the Asia Europe Meeting in Brussels last week, the DFA said.
Wang has said he was willing to build a "close personal friendship" with Locsin.
Wang is also scheduled to meet with the country’s economic managers and the "Build, Build, Build" team.
The Chinese official’s visit was originally scheduled September 16 to 18, but was postponed due to Typhoon Ompong.
