What does this course involve?
This course teaches the principles of construction and will familiarise you with the materials involved. You will gain knowledge of the many facets of building, such as interpreting and drafting plans, estimating material quantities, as well as business management skills necessary to oversee projects.
On completion of this course, you will be able to progress to management level either on a building site or within a head office environment. To meet the demands expected in such roles, you are taught to adapt to changes brought about by new technology and to adopt a positive attitude towards solving problems as they arise.
This course is also available to International Students.
Course structure
All units must be successfully completed to attain qualification.
Entrance requirements
You must have completed Year 12 (or equivalent) or possess sufficient literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the course.
Selection criteria
The current VTAC guide outlines the specific selection criteria. If you are a mature age student, you must undergo an interview.

Full-time – two years
