  Part 16 : Jae-a(在我,재아)... It Depends on Me... Chapter 73.

약속이이루어지는 것도 나에게 달려 있고, 이루어지지 않는 것도 나에게 달려 있다.

 Whether a promise is fulfilled depends on me,

  ad whether it is not fulfilled also depends on me.
모름지기 사람들이 권함을 즐겨 따르다고 이루어질 것이며 사람들이 중상한다 하여 중지할 것인가?

 Should it be fulfilled only because people gladly follow and advise it,

  and should it be stopped just because people slander it ?

사람들이 권하는 것을 받지 않음도 나에게 있고 남이 중상모략함을 믿지않음도 나에게 있으니
이러한 것을 안 후에야 믿음의 힘이 커졌음을 알게 된다.

 Not being influenced by what people advise also depends on me,

 and not believing the slanders of others also depends on me.

Only sfter knowing these things will ane realize that the power of faith has grown great.

約之成도 在我하고 約之不成도 在我也라 (약지성도 재아하고 약지불성도 재아야라)

 "Whether the covenant is fulfilled depends on me,

   and unfulfilled also depends on me."

豈須人權而成이며 人讒而止哉아 (기수인권이성이며 인참이지재아)
 "How could it require people′s advice to be fulfilled.

   or be stopped by people′s slander ?"

不被權도 在我하고 不信讒도 亦在我하나니 (불피권도 재아하고 불신참도 역재아하나니)
 "Not being swayed by advice depends on me,

   and not believing slanders also depends on me."

然後에 知信力之大하느니라. (연후에 지신력지대하느니라.)

 "Only after this will one lnow the greatness of the power of faith."
