Diploma of Business (Human Resources)National Code: BSB50801 Jump to: Units of Competency | What does this course involve?This course focuses on a comprehensive set of generic and specific human resource competencies to enable you to work in various human resource roles. The course provides a focus on developing such skills as learning how to manage performance termination procedures, computer skills and learning how to develop employment policies. It provides training in human resources operations, practice and management. This course is also available to International Students. Course structureThe diploma is conducted over one semester full-time. All competencies are available in Semester 2 during the day and for at least one semester per year in the evening, depending on demand. Each competency is usually conducted over one semester or less, depending on contact hours. Entrance requirementsYou should have successfully completed Year 12. Mature age entry is available when you are judged to have appropriate maturity or experience, but do not meet the academic requirements. You will be given the opportunity to demonstrate competency in the underpinning knowledge for this course, i.e. the knowledge found in Certificate IV in Business (Human Resources). Selection criteriaFull-time applicants should refer to the VTAC guide for any specific selection criteria. For part-time applicants, there is no formal selection procedure. At the Certificate IV level, you would work in administration roles within the human resources area.
