에베소서 4:13–16

우리가 다 하나님의 아들을 믿는 것과 아는 일에 하나가 되어 온전한 사람을 이루어 그리스도의 장성한 분량이 충만한 데까지 이르리니 이는 우리가 이제부터 어린아이가 되지 아니하여 사람의 궤술과 간사한 유혹에 빠져 모든 교훈의 풍조에 밀려 요동치 않게 하려 함이라 오직 사랑 안에서 참된 것을 하여 범사에 그에게까지 자랄찌라 그는 머리니 곧 그리스도라 그에게서 온 몸이 각 마디를 통하여 도움을 입음으로 연락하고 상합하여 각 지체의 분량대로 역사하여 그 몸을 자라게 하며 사랑 안에서 스스로 세우느니라. 영어로 번역하라.

하나님의 아들을 믿는 것과 아는 일에 하나가 되어야 합니다. 예수님을 믿는 사람은 예수 그리스도께서 누구이신지 분명히 알아야 합니다. 예수 그리스도는 창조주 하나님께서 인간의 육체를 입고 세상에 오신 분이십니다. 육체를 입고 오신 하나님께서 복음을 전파하시고, 인류의 죄를 대신하여 죽으시고 부활하심으로 구원의 길을 마련해 주셨습니다.

어린아이와 같은 초보적인 신앙에 머물러서는 안 됩니다. 세상의 유혹에 흔들리지 말고, 돈과 명예와 세상의 쾌락에 빠지지 않으며, 그리스도의 말씀을 지켜야 합니다. 그리스도의 말씀을 따라 서로 용서하고 사랑해야 합니다. 그리하여 이 땅에 하나님의 나라와 의와 화목이 이루어지게 해야 합니다.

그리스도께서 주신 사랑의 계명을 지키고, 모든 일에서 예수 그리스도의 삶을 배워야 합니다. 그리스도는 교회의 머리시요, 우리는 그분의 지체입니다.모든 지체는 머리의 지시에 따라 움직여야 합니다. 그리스도의 말씀에 불순종하는 지체는 머리이신 그리스도에게서 분리된 것과 같습니다. 중풍병이 심해지면 자신의 뜻대로 자신의 몸을 움직이지 못한다. 몸은 하나이다. 그러나 그 생각과 행동이 따로 움직인다.

이와 같이 하나님의 백성이 하나님의 말씀에 불순종하고 회개하지 않으면, 여전히 교회에 다닐지라도 머리이신 그리스도께 속한 것이 아닙니다. 지체가 머리이신 그리스도의 뜻을 따르지 않으면, 지체로서의 역할을 하지 못하는 쓸모없는 존재가 됩니다.

포도나무에서 분리된 가지는 열매를 맺을 수 없습니다. 결국 말라 버리고 불에 던져집니다. 이와 같이 그리스도에게서 분리된 자들은 사랑의 열매를 맺지 못합니다. 그 결과 지옥 불에 던져집니다.

Ephesians 4:13–16

Until we all become united in faith in the Son of God and in our knowledge of Him, becoming mature and reaching the full measure of Christ’s stature. Then we will no longer be children, tossed about by the waves and carried along by every wind of teaching, deceived by human cunning and crafty schemes. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow in every way into Him who is the head, Christ. From Him, the whole body is joined and held together through the support of every joint. As each part does its work, the body grows and builds itself up in love.

We must become united in our faith in the Son of God and in our knowledge of Him. Those who believe in Jesus must clearly understand who Jesus Christ is.

Jesus Christ is the Creator God who came into the world in human flesh. God, who came in the flesh, preached the gospel, died for the sins of humanity, and rose again, making the way of salvation available to us.

We must not remain like children at an elementary stage of faith. We must not be shaken by the temptations of the world or become caught up in money, fame, and worldly pleasures. We must obey the words of Christ.

We must forgive and love one another according to His words. In this way, we must work to establish God’s kingdom, righteousness, and peace on this earth.

We must keep the commandment of love that Christ has given us and learn to follow the example of Jesus Christ in everything. Christ is the head of the church, and we are the members of His body.

Every member of the body must move according to the direction of the head. A member who disobeys the words of Christ is like a member separated from Christ, the head.

When paralysis becomes severe, a person cannot move their body as they intend. The body is one, yet the person’s thoughts and bodily actions no longer work together.

In the same way, if God’s people disobey His words and do not repent, they do not belong to Christ, the head, even though they continue attending church. If a member does not follow the will of Christ, the head, that member becomes useless, unable to fulfill its role in the body.

A branch separated from the vine cannot bear fruit. Eventually, it withers and is thrown into the fire. Likewise, those who are separated from Christ cannot bear the fruit of love. As a result, they are thrown into the fire of hell.
