더불어민주당 부산시장 후보에 3선의 전재수 의원이 선출됐다.

민주당 중앙당선거관리위원회는 7~9일 진행한 부산시장 후보 경선 결과, 전 의원이 최종 후보로 확정됐다고 9일 밝혔다. 전 의원과 경쟁한 이재성 전 민주당 부산시당위원장은 탈락했다.

민주당은 당규에 따라 전 의원과 이 전 위원장 등 2명 후보의 득표율은 공개하지 않았다.

전 의원은 선출 직후 페이스북에 올려 “저를 믿어주시고, 기회를 주셨다”며 “부산의 미래를 활짝 열어젖히겠다”고 말했다. 그는 “부산에 모든 것을 바쳤던 노무현 대통령의 꿈, 전재수가 끝까지 책임지고 완성하겠다”며 “해양수산부를 부산으로 이전한 전재수가 해양수도 부산, 결과로 증명하겠다”고 했다.

Three-term Rep. Chun Jae-soo of the Democratic Party of Korea was elected as the party’s candidate for the Busan mayoral election.

The Democratic Party’s central election management committee announced on the 9th that Rep. Chun was finalized as the candidate following a primary held from the 7th to the 9th. Lee Jae-sung, former head of the party’s Busan branch who competed against Rep. Chun, was eliminated.
