* Pound(hit) the Pavement(s)[streets, sidewalks] *

(일자리를 찾으러) 거리를 누비다, 직접 몸으로 부딪치다 / (경찰이) 순찰을 돌다

Ex)

1. I pounded the pavement looking for a job.

(나는 일자리 찾아서 거리를 누볐다.)

2. Hey, Bob. You'd better get busy pounding those nails unless you want to be out pounding the pavement.(이봐, 밥. 일자리를 찾느라고 발이 닳도록 돌아다니기 싫으면 부지런히 해서 자리를 잡는 게 좋을 거야.)

3 You make calls, pound the pavement, take orders.(당신은 직접 전화하고, 발품을 팔고 주문 한다)
