♠ 마음의 즐거움을 누리기 위한 수고(the effort to enjoy the joy of the heart) ♠

사람이 수고(受苦, effort)하는 모든 수고와 마음으로 애쓰는 것은 좀더 행복한 삶을 살기 위해서 노력하는 것입니다.(To work hard with all the hard work and heart is to try to live a happier life.)

그 행복은 육신(肉身, the flesh)의 즐거움 보다 마음의 즐거움을 누리기 위한 행복일 것입니다.(That happiness will be happiness to enjoy the joy of the heart rather than the joy of the body.)

평생을 수고하면 땀을 흘리면서 일구어 논 산업(産業, industry) 이 그 당사자가 누리기 보다는 그 자녀들이 누리는 것을 많이 볼 수 있습니다.(If you work hard for your whole life, you can see a lot of sweat and work in the non-production industry that their children enjoy rather than their own.)

수고한 사람은 자기의 수고를 알기에 함부로 사용할 수 없습니다.(People who have worked hard cannot use it carelessly because they know their hard work.)

그 자녀가 산업을 잘 관리해 주면 그나마 위안(慰安, solace)을 얻겠지만 잘못 사용하게 된다면 그 마음은 실망(失望, disappointment) 이 클 것입니다.(If the child manages the industry well, he or she will get comfort, but if he or she uses it incorrectly, he or she will be disappointed.)

마음의 즐거움을 누리기 위한 수고입니다.(It's hard work to enjoy the joy of the heart.)

수고를 해서 얻은 재물(財物, property)로 편안히 먹고 마시지만 그 또한 마음의 즐거움이 없다면 아무런 의미가 없을 것입니다.(You eat comfortably with the goods you have earned, but it will be meaningless if you don't have the joy of your heart.)

마음의 즐거움을 누리기 위해서 취미 생활과 여가생활(餘暇生活, leisure  life)하기도 하며,(In order to enjoy the joy of the mind, they also enjoy hobbies and leisure life,)

그 노력한 것이 쌓이는 것을 보면서 즐거움을 찾기도 하고 자기의 수고를 사회에 봉사함으로서 기쁨을 누리기도 합니다.(I want to find joy by watching the efforts accumulate and enjoy myself by serving my hard work in society.)

순간(瞬間, moment)의 즐거움 지나쳐 도박이나 유흥 등으로 해서 더욱 마음 고생을 하는 사람도 때론 주변에서 볼 수 있습니다.(Sometimes you can see people around you who suffer more from gambling or entertainment than the joy of the moment.)

수고로 얻어진 것은 세상에서 나에게 주어진 것은 분복(分福, one's lot:(1) 선천적으로 타고 난 복. (2) 약 따위를 몇 번에 나 누어 먹음.)입니다.(What is earned by hard work is what is given to me in the world.[(1) a natural blessing; (2) taking medicine, etc. in several batches.] )

좀더 많은 것을 잡으려 애쓰고 있지만 따지고 보면 바람과 같이 지나가는 것입니다.(I'm trying to catch more, but after all, it's passing by with the wind.)

마음의 즐거움! 참으로 묘한 것입니다.(The joy of the heart! It's a strange thing.)

모든 것을 가지고도 누리지 못하는 사람 이 있고 가진 것은 아주 적을지라도 낙을 누리며 사는 사람이 있습니다.(There are people who can't enjoy everything, and there are people who live with pleasure, even if they have very little.)
