싱가포르의 팔레스타인 국가 승인 조건

싱가포르는 분명하게 조건을 제시하면서 그 조건이 충족될 때까지는 팔레스타인 국가 승인을 미루겠다고 햇습니다.

1) 이스라엘을 국가로 인정하고 생존할 권리를 인정하며

2) 테러 행위를 규탄하고 배격하는 유효한 정부가 세워질때까지

국가 승인을 보류한다고 했습니다.

한국은 싱가포르만큼 할수 있을까요?

Singapore has made our position clear: we will recognise the State of Palestine when it has an effective government that accepts Israel’s right to exist and categorically renounces terrorism. It is a case of when, not if.

Today, while the Palestinian Authority administers the Occupied Palestinian Territories in the West Bank, it does not control Gaza. For the last 18 years, there has not been a unified Palestinian government that exercises effective control in both the West Bank and Gaza.

We will continue tracking developments closely. Events are unfolding quickly and remain unpredictable. If the situation continues to deteriorate, or if Israel takes further steps to extinguish a two-State solution, we will reconsider our position on recognising a Palestinian State.

유럽의 작은 나라 '몰도바'의 선거 결과가 오늘 아침 이슈가 되고 있듯이, '싱가포르'같은 작은 아시아의 도시국가가 세계 여론 주도에 무슨 힘을 발휘할 수 있을까요?

리더쉽이 혜안을 가진 사람에게 있을 때는 그 나라가 우뚝 서게됩니다.
궁극적으로 팔레스타인 국가 승인 자체가 있을수도, 있어서도 안되는 일이지만, 싱가포르는 최소한의 합리적 조건을 제시하고
있습니다. 국제 사회에 그런 리더를 갖고 있다는 것이 알려지는 만큼 국격이 올라가는 일은 드물 것입니다.
싱가포르는 태장형을 실시하는 것으로도 유명합니다. 그렇게 한다면 돈주고 보석으로나올수 있다는 인식보다는 훨씬 더 범죄 예방효과나, 범죄하지 않겠다는 의지가 강할 것입니다.
